The Hornets would receive much-needed size in 7-0 center Chris Kaman (12.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg), a promising second-year point guard in Eric Bledsoe (6.7 ppg, 3.6 apg, 1.1 spg), an athletic second-year small forward in Al-Farouq Aminu (5.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg) and the Clippers' unprotected 2012 draft pick via the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to the Times.

Haven't seen this one posted yet. Seems to be better for all involved than the Lakers trade would have been. CP3 and Grifffin will be scary.

I've heard different things about it. I think I heard that it would be Gordon or the Minnesota pick, or it maybe both (but they just don't want Gordon's name officially out there if it doesn't go through so he doesn't pull an Odom on them.).

I would assume Bledsoe wouldn't be in the deal if Gordon was also.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Clippers are currently refusing to improve their offer and that the deal is currently dead.

A source says that talks could be restructured again, but that the Clippers are reluctant to meet the exorbitant asking price for Paul.

The NBA is now running the trade talks for the Hornets, 'usurping' the power of GM Dell Demps, according to Wojnarowski.

League won't approve it.

Paul is stuck in NO once again...

A seemingly imminent Chris Paul trade has collapsed for the second time in five days.

The league-owned Hornets and the Clippers could not complete their proposed Chris Paul trade because the Clippers decided the asking price was too high, sources say.
Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the league-owned New Orleans Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers could not complete their proposed Paul trade because the Clippers ultimately decided the NBA's asking price for the All-Star guard was too high.

I am sure the sticking point was the pick. I bet they would have bit if it were just the players mentioned. Will be interesting to see Crissy go to Miami after his contract expires next year.

How? Won't the Heat have to be under the cap?

Idk. Amnesty someone? Crissy takes a minor pay cut to join the dream team and win countless championships.

Interesting point of discussion...would it be worth it to amnesty Bosh if it meant you could sign CP3?

The Clippers and Hornets have reached an agreement on Chris Paul.

Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and Minnesota's first round pick in 2012 will be sent to the Hornets. The Clippers will also receive two future second round picks from the Hornets in addition to Paul.
.

As part of the deal, Paul has agreed to not opt out of his contract after this season – allowing the Clippers to keep him at least through the 2013-14 season.

The Clippers are retarded; I have no idea why they didn't wait until Free Agency

I don't think they could have signed him as a FA. There are other teams he'd rather play for, and you never know if one of those teams might be able to clear capspace. For this trade to go through, Paul agreed not to opt out. They've got him for two years, anyway.
