What's new

PG to OKC

I think you HIGHLY overvalue Pat's rings and senoritas. What Riley did with Wade and Lebron has ZERO bearing on what Hayward does as a free agent.

It's recruiting now. We laugh at that from the outside, but when you are sitting in Riley's office, and Boston and Utah have both messed up recently and Riley doesn't have the same dirt, and he sits there with all the negative things to say about Utah and Boston, and the rings, and the location...

Look, the money in Miami will be about equal to Utah with no tax in Florida.

Winning will be the same. Hayward on Miami = Hayward on Jazz. BUT, it is a lot easier in the East, so in reality, winning in Miami > winning in Utah.

Miami > Utah.

The only reason to stay in Utah would be relationships. Let's hope those are enough.

The Pacers front office should be gutted and the team sold. What a ****ing joke of a deal.

If you expect Westbrook to leave, this is a dumbe move. If they lose both these guys for nothing, they are going into an extended rebuild of 5-6 years or more.

And if you want Westbrook to stay, you trade for an all-star and improve the talent he has around him. It's an incredible trade for the Thunder. They may have just salvaged the next 5 years of their franchise.

People are saying "Pacers must have seen all the offers they were going to get."

No way. I refuse to believe that's the best they could get for Paul George.

I think George to OKC might push Hayward to Miami.

Lol he's not going to Miami. Why would he go to Miami? Please explain. So he can join a team with less talent, less depth, fewer assets, and no cap room after he signs? Just to be in a weaker conference and still lose? Lol

Exactly how the Jazz should have been thinking with less of the pressure. Maybe that's why they don't make the deal. Maybe they make theirs at the deadline. Who knows. Just hoping Hayward is back and they can still compete with this stacked division.

I think it was the best offer on the table from a Western Conference team at the moment. Trade offers have already dried up at least twice on them. Wouldn't be surprised if they were afraid to see it happen again. I'd have beaten that.

IMO Exum/Burks and the 2018 draft pick> Sabonis/Oladipo as an asset. I'd have rolled the dice.

I will be shocked if Hayward goes to Miami. If he signs a 3 year deal with Miami could it end up being more money than a 3 year deal with Utah? I thought Utah's big advantage was the 5th year extension.

Man, OKC acquiring PG for a one year rental and he bolts to LA. It should be interesting to see what happens in OKC for the time being nonetheless.

PG is a little overrated imo, and not the best teammate.

He is talented, and makes OKC better though no doubt. NW Division will be tough. It's not for weenies. Bring your man card, and suit up. Its going to be one hell of a ride.

I hope Gordo knows this and not run off to the east with his tail between his legs. It's like doing the same thing Durant did, taking to easier way to succeed in the nba. Time to man up Gordo and stick in the west, it's where all the action and competition is at.

I heard a guy on the radio break down the no state tax thing the other day. Basically comes down to a few hundred thousand dollars rather than millions and isn't really much of a factor. You still get state taxed for all away games and cost of living, housing, property taxes and other stuff in Florida plus a bunch of other crap he talked about that I can't remember..... but basically the no state tax advantage is tiny and almost meaningless when it's all said and done.

Rumors are the C's were unwilling to give up Brooklyn picks or either Tatum or Brown.
