PG13

Since it's going to be slow until game 2, would Paul George be interested in coming to the Jazz and would the Jazz be interested this off season? I see his statement after game 6 made it sound like Hayward was a lead pipe cinch to come back to the Jazz. I know the Lakers are probably the favorite in the clubhouse, but one can dream.

I would place the odds at 1 in a million. I think it would be more likely that Durant or Lebron came here although that is also extremely unlikely.

PG13 is a good player, better than what he showed in this series. For various reasons has not cared about winning the last 2 seasons. I think he will get back to that when he chooses where he is at. But I also think he cares less about winning than some other players in the NBA.

No thanks to Paul George. I don't think he fits the future of this franchise at all. Yes, he is a good player. But, I want Mitchell to run this show. I don't want anybody coming in who could be disruptive.

In my opinion, we need to target a guy like Tobias Harris. He's young, good, and supposedly an amazing lockerroom and community guy. The Pistons, teammates and Piston fans all moaned and groaned when he got traded. Supposedly, everybody loves the guy.

Tobias Harris at starting PF should Favors leave would be amazing especially offensively.

It's not feasible unless he opts in and forces a trade to Utah. So its a non-starter. He will be in LA or Philly next year.

I don't think PG would consider Utah, and given what we saw from him in this series, and back in Indiana, I don't think I'd want him in Utah, either, TBH. Doesn't mean he isn't a great player. The questions are, does he fit what we're trying to build (seems to) and does he have the attitude/desire to be here to match (seems not).

I do think we forget this guy went toe-to-toe with prime Lebron. Don't kid yourselves... he'd be great here... I don't see an ego maniac either. He gets too loose with his interviews after games.

If we added him and lost nothing we'd be a title contender right now.

True.

I agree somewhat that PG is not a good fit based on how he has played and some of his comments. But I think he could fit in by buying in. If he liked the way we did things as a team and our style of basketball that would be the reason he signed here. If I chose to be here I think by simply doing that it would make him fit in and I think it would be great.

I dont think he wants to do that though and so that makes him a bad fit.

I thought he would be free to go anywhere after July 1. I thought he was a standup guy when he gave the Pacers the sign he did not want to come back and to get something for him unlike a certain small forward who shall remain nameless did with Utah.

Yep. Indiana actually won that trade by a long shot imo.

PG found a way to be productive playing with melo and Westbrook. him and spida running the 1 2 punch would be great! both play great D both move with out the ball. and in quins motion system everyone is involved. plus we have better shooters and spacing. To say PG wouldnt fit on our system is crazy as utah not even giving his agent a call! plus he loves spida like we all do!

Yep. PG is a very good defender, has length and can shoot the ball. He can be productive with reasonable usage. PG on this Jazz team would be amazing.

I would Jazz my pants if we got PG.

We would be one of just a handful of teams with two true #1 options, and a nucleus of Quin, Rudy, Donovan, PG, Exum, Rubio, Favors, Crowder, and Royce could be one of the greatest defensive teams in the history of basketball.
