What's new

Phoenix Suns @ Utah Jazz - Wed Feb 14 7pm MST

This game scares me more then the Spurs game. Classic letdown game on an even greater scale. Really hoping this team stays locked in and secures this victory going into the break.

Got to agree. I've got an uneasy feeling. That might be the three-day old burrito I ate or it might be something else. I guess there's only one way to find out.

I'm about as confident as one can be about this game. Thinking of skipping it, but I know I'd miss an epic performance by Mitchell.

Suns are hot trash.

The Suns have won 1 road game since the new year and lost 6 in a row.

There is a major log jam in the bottom third of the league. Phoenix. And a few other teams are about to go full on tank .

Jazz probably go through a couple stretches of bad basketball tonight but you're gonna get a double digit win .

I get why it could be a trap game. You'd think the Suns would come out and at least try harder because of the whole Warriors/Players coaching thing, but I dont think they are mentally disciplined enough to really flip that switch against a team as hot as Utah. They would have to get off to a great start offensively for them to stay mentally focused enough to challenge Utah.

The Suns feel like a team you can beat in the first 12 minutes.

Me too. Of course the spread is 11.5 so that's not exactly going out on a limb.
Damn, spreads that high are always scary cuz you never know what will happen in garbage time. One of those things like Utah could be up 18 w/ 1:30 left, Jazz pull all starters then the Suns go on 8-0 run to end the game cuz no one cares and their last bucket is one of those wide open cheap ones cuz everyone stops playing because they assume the guy with the ball will run the clock out and not stat pad.

No doubt.

The recent play of the Jazz has been different though. The games were we have been throttling teams, we did not lay off the gas late in games. Donovan especially is a step on your throat guy who wont let them up. If they have a big lead late I suspect this trend to continue.

The game at Memphis was a ridiculously bad beat if you bet on the Jazz. Jazz favorited by 6.5 points. Jazz up 10 with like 32 seconds left. Dillon Brooks hits a 3 to cut it to 7. Jazz hold the ball and take the 24 second violation. Mario Chalmers hits a 35 footer to lose by 4.

Yeah, that **** would drive me to drink if I still bet on games.

I think tonight's game is very, very important. We have an incredible opportunity to build the Jazz brand with a win tonight. If we win, there is no doubt that we will be named the "hottest team in the league" over and over and over again during All Star Weekend. When Mitchell plays Friday night, "hottest team in the league". When Mitchell competes in the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night, "hottest team in the league". Every time a pundit wants to talk about Cleveland's new team or anybody else playing well, they can't say "hottest team in the league" because that's us.

It's not a small thing to take tonight's game seriously. We could raise a lot of eyebrows, get some needed attention, and maybe even add to our fanbase should we go into the weekend with an 11 game win streak.
