What's new

Phoenix @ Utah 7 pm MT

I actually can't wait to see Francisco Elson at C with Jefferson at PF. That would give us a bit more size and athleticism up front.

Goran Dragic has a perpetual look of "I'm-going-to-burst-into-tears" on his face. It's hilarious to watch.

Did Josh Childress spread some butter on his shoes? He was falling everywhere. It seemed Hayward gained some confidence after he accidentally shook Childress. I think thats Hayward's main issue, his confidence level.

Gordon "Don't call me Haywood" Hayward ends the quarter with a sweet dish to Mansap and an bold drive of his own. Talk about confidence-boosting.

But hopefully he progresses in practice, because playing in games has nothing to do with skill development.

Yeah, but you couldn't have had a better athlete at Western Kentucky, right? What a waste. What I like about him is he's tuned into the whole game, not just the game when he has the ball. He was probably a great supporting player for you guys when he should have been a star. Did you think he would translate to the pros like this having watched him? And what did other fans think of his being a role player on your team?

We have had our fair share of decent athletes at WKU. I mean we are ranked as one of the top 30 college programs of all time. However, Jeremy has the most athleticism of any. Hell he is more athletic then most of the NBA. The main thing Jeremy was that he was meant to be a role player. Now I can say that because he is my boy. He just never had the killer instinct to be a star or a go to guy. He showed flashes on occasion, but never with any consistancy. He is the type of guy that goes with the flow and that translated to the basketball court. With that said he was a fan favorite. His highlight dunks and athletic plays made for exciting basketball. Jeremy was a huge presence in the paint for us on the defensive end also. I always thought he had the potential to play pro ball, I just never knew he had the desire to do so until the end of his senior year. He never really talked about it until that point.

I am glad the Jazz are the team that took him though. I know he will get a fair chance in that orginization with your guys history of 2nd round picks.

I'm thinking of his highlight reel, where he trails plays and dunks the ball a lot...

And I'm talking about if he is on the floor then Fess and AJ better be in serious foul trouble and that's before Okur gets back. Once Okur gets back if Elson plays I for one will be very unhappy.

LOL Anyone see Jefferson's when he got to the bench at the end of the 3rd qtr? Pretty sure they told him he was starting the 4th qtr and his reaction was priceless.

Finally, Deron doesn't have to be on the floor for them to score whenever they want. Just throw it down to Big Al.

Nichols could be this year's Wes Matthews (if they can keep him); 3-7 FG so far today.

Fes block at 8:20 in the 4th quarter: not in my key.

Fes jump hook at 7:30: "Gani Lawai who?"

I can see that. He just seems like the type of guy who would have accepted his "place" under the stars of the team. But you should have had a coach who wouldn't let him accept that place. No way there is 2 guys in your conference with his natural ability. You just don't let a guy like that be a role player.
