No real mention of maturity. Pretty much sticks to things that would be deemed offensive to most people. In fact that term is included in one of the definitions.

I imagine it would have been more accurate to state that they are immature rather than idiots, if commenting on maturity was the intent. Either way, I think it could be deemed offensive.

I took "foolish" to be an indicator of immaturity, not intellect. YMMV.

1) It's silly. It's been going on forever and it's a non-controversy. Obviously everyone had their say.

2) It's actually a favor to JSL who is not exactly having a lot of dignity-enhancing experiences in here.
