Look, if Gobert ****ed Mitchell’s mom, sister, or partner, yeah. I totally get it and I’ll walk back some of my criticisms.Really, it's pretty petty.
But this? Donovan is acting like covid is Gobert’s fault. It’s asinine.

Hindsight? What does that have to do with Don getting over a virtual non-event for the betterment of everyone? You're ****ing awesome with your hindsight.
You gonna tell people now not to bet on the 20-21 Jazz? Maybe you're now the oracle.

lmao, and Lopo accuses others of misrepresenting what people say.Hindsight? What does that have to do with Don getting over a virtual non-event?
No it's not. Not at all.Look, if Gobert ****ed Mitchell’s mom, sister, or partner, yeah. I totally get it and I’ll walk back some of my criticisms.

I'm speculating dumbass. Damn you are dense.lmao, and Lopo accuses others of misrepresent what people say.
Rudy did something and maybe he's still be a dick about it. Assuming Don is just a baby is classic Rudy apologist. Own your actions people.
I’m not sure if you lost the trail of this conversation and some of the points you have repeatedly made, but we’re talking about now. You have suggested that Donovan is the one that can’t get over something that happened two years ago (and resulted in 0 meaningful consequences).I guess the entire NBA was moronic for shutting down, playing in a bubble, etc.
But hey, Don had an emotional reaction to his foolish teammate. Let's bash him on it 2 years later.

The media people who were in that room have ALL publicly defended Rudy over this little clip.Your role model. I wonder what he touched in the locker room. He did something. We know that.

I'm not saying that at all.At this point I am blown away by the hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness here. Like, this is jaw-dropping.
Lopo: "I assume this is Rudy's fault."
Also Lopo, in literally the very next sentence: "Assuming this is Don's fault is classic Rudy apologist. Own your actions people".
How the hell does Lopo not see this, lmao.
I thought we were talking about the present. No one is saying Gobert wasn’t a real dumbass. No one. Not even Gobert. No it's not. Not at all.
Media members were upset at Rudy for his actions. Were they irrational?

If they never reconciled despite Gobert apologizing and by all accounts putting in the work, then that’s on your boy.I'm not saying that at all.
My point is simple - Don is a human being and had the right to be upset when Rudy did what he did. If they never reconciled, Don has the right to still be upset with Rudy.
It shouldn't impact the floor, but Don has rhe right to have an issues with Rudy.

I already said that Don should not be holding a grudge that impacts the floor as childishly as not passing it to Rudy.I thought we were talking about the present. No one is saying Gobert wasn’t a real dumbass. No one. Not even Gobert.
Let’s talk about the present. Is it still your point that the reason Donovan can’t pass to Rudy today is because he happened to test positive first?
Cuz that’s nuts.
I think Don did have his issues with Rudy prior to this, and he thought he had enough built up rep with the fanbase that he could use that situation and the fanbase would throw Rudy aside and be with him. You’re right, he miscalculated that in a big way, and it was the beginning of the end for the fanbase and him on the honeymoon faze. He seriously miscalculated how much the fanbase liked Rudy. I have to admit, I’m not sure why Smith is so all in on pleasing Donovan at this point. He has to see the fanbase has fell quite a bit out of love with the dude at some point.Sure Gobert was stupid and irresponsible around COVID... just like 50-60-70-80%(?) of people were at the time. Noone is denying that. This is settled. What's also true is that Gobert was very apologetic and contrite in the aftermath. He pretty much did all the right things in the subsequent weeks and months to try to remedy the situation.
Donovan is incredibly calculated person. The one thing he didn't manage to calculate is how much Jazz fans love Gobert and how his behavior after the COVID drama will be seen by Jazz fans. And this was 2 years ago and is extending well into this year. Hell, look at polls like this. Jazz fans will forever resent Mitchell for the way he handled himself and let the entire organization and Rudy out to dry for MONTHS after that thing. Jazz fans will never trust him after that. Yes, Rudy made a mistake, but he also almost immediately showed regret and remorse... while we had to read "unsalvagable" reports and shade thrown towards Gobert for months if not years. Mitchell thought he can win this power struggle behind the scenes. And he might win it with the FO, but he won't win it with Jazz fans. I'm almost positive if he runs Gobert out in the summer, Jazz fans will boo him and the entire team the first time they get to see them. And they better hope this thing runs smoothly on the court because things can get pretty ugly pretty quick.
Yeah, he isn't passing to wide open Rudy on accident.I already said that Don should not be holding a grudge that impacts the floor as childishly as not passing it to Rudy.
Assuming he isn't passing on purpose is also reckless.
I'm talking about how they could still have a fractured relationship.

Are you serious? A media obligation PR saving interview is not a guarantee that Rudy actually made things right with Don.If they never reconciled despite Gobert apologizing and by all accounts putting in the work, then that’s on your boy.
Conley misses Rudy some too.Yeah, he isn't passing to wide open Rudy on accident.
That’s more than I’ve seen from Mitchell, so you bet your *** I’m rolling with any evidence vs zero. Are you serious? A media obligation PR saving interview is not a guarantee that Rudy actually made things right with Don.
You believe everything you hear in a press conference?
