IF you had to pick one guy to re-sign this offseason, and forced to let the other walk, which guy would you keep?

I'm torn, because I love both..... so i can't choose

But what do you guys think....

I know what you mean by being torn cause you love both but.... Its actually an easy choice for the jazz

We need carroll much more due to our lack of small forwards, so he is the one to keep.

Evans just sits on the bench and is way more expendable.

Carroll, he seemed like the only player that didn't give up in game 4. Then again, Evans is Hayward's friend. Have to keep the talent happy, plus his dunks are spectacular! It really is an easy pick, Carroll.

I feel like we could keep both, but if I had to choose it'd be Carroll.

I would wait until after the draft to see what talent we could bring in. If we moved one of the bigs then Evans or draft a sf. If we draft a pg then I would say Carroll.

Carroll played quite a bit, Jeremy didn't. Sadly, Jeremy does not appear to be terribly competitive. Bummer, but he hasn't really developed at either SF or PF.

Why can't we keep both? I would rather have Evans and Carroll than CJ and Howard? If I had to choose I would choose Carroll simply due to the lack of SFs on the roster.

I can't believe this is even a question. Who would you rather have the 12th or the 13th man on the bench. Who the hell cares. Here's an idea dump both and find two players that are upgrades. How hard could it be to find upgrades to Evans and Carroll?

I would want Evans. I think he's a fan favorite and good for team chemistry. More upside, I suppose, as well. I think we can find plenty more Carrolls.

Evans doesn't play much, but every time he plays he impacts the game. Steals, Blocks, Deflections (Jazz favorite stat) and dunks. He gets the crowd and his team back into games when the Jazz are out of.

His body type may limit his playing time, his personality is what it is, but if the jazz would play him 15 minutes a game he would make more impact than Carroll.

But if I was GM I would keep both, waive Raja and would have traded Josh Howard to the Celtics or Clippers at the deadline for a future 2nd round pick.

Maybe he impacts the game every time he plays because of that reason, because the Jazz only play him when it's possible for him to do that.

If Carroll can improve his 3pt shooting (he shot 37% on very limited attempts) I would go with him. He defends, rebounds, and limits dumb mistakes fairly well. He makes for the perfect 5th starter if you bring a 6th man (Burks) off the bench for a scoring spark.

Carroll. Love his hustle and heart. I also like Evans so this is not a knock on him. Just like Carroll more.

Carroll sucks, he either shoots 50% or 10% each game. Some games it seems like he has no idea what is going on. If Evans bulks up, he could be a good player because he is a freak athlete. He shots 64% from the field, and almost every game he plays in he at least gets 1 block.

I like Carroll but his game doesn't have much upside in comparison to Evans who could be an animal if he bulked up. I honestly believe we can keep both so I don't know why this thread even exists

It is not like it is taking up valuable realestate from all the Jazz rumors coming in...

It exists because a person with as much right to post here as the rest of us wanted to talk about it.
