Pick One- Carroll or Evans

Carroll.

I'm not convinced Evans' offense will ever develop, and Carroll brings more on the defensive end.

No brainer. Carroll. Carroll is an effective starter. Evans can't shoot, dribble, keep anyone out of the post, pass, etc, etc, etc. Evans can dunk. That is it. Carroll is a solid shooter, a good defender, can hit the corner three. He could develop into a Bruce Bowen/Shane Battier type player. Very valuable and cheap.

Evans is a better defender...Carrol is a better offensive player. We are really debating between guys who should be 11th or 12th in the rotation.

What?

I like Carrole as a Tony Allen type. Every team needs that. And he's a real hard worker it seems.

But I like Evans' potential a lot. If Evans can learn to dribble, shoot, and pass I'd pick him over a lot of people on our roster. Which means I pick Carrolle.

Hypothetical doesn't make sense. Evans is worth bringing back as a big, but highly expendable as a project 3. Carroll is just highly expendable. If the Jazz truly guaranteed him, that was a mistake. I'm not sure they have. But he should have to beat out UFA's in camp to win a job. Both are replaceable salary minimum guys so it doesn't really matter.

Most definitely Carroll. He can play defense against star players. Evans is way too small. He shows hustle but is too much of a liabilty on defense, everyone is stronger than him (including the pg). Demarre is still going to get better on the offensive end. Defense is mainly hustle and some guys don't care but clearly he does.

We ought to do this for the entire jazz roster, infact wasn't there a Jazz Survior Island or something once? Anyway we have no first round pick, its going to be a long summer, so somebody with some of that ambition stuff get on it. Start at 15 and 14 players on the Roster and work up. Ahearn or Raja-pick one.

Torn? Choose? One will be forced to walk?

These are basically scrubs and you need at least 13 players. This is very poorly thought out.

Who?

I don't think we would ever be forced to choose, but Carroll. I think Evans could be a rotation player if given the chance but he is too deep in the depth chart.
