#1-"The kids take the league by storm"

The Jazz are the surprise team of the year. Hayward shows he can be a leader and is talked about as an All-Star. Trey Burke is in the running for the rookie of year and our two big guys Favors and Kanter clearly show they were ready to start. Both averaging around double double numbers. Alec Burks takes a big leap forward and shows he can consistently score the ball. The Jazz are a fringe playoff team somewhere between 6-9.

#2-We are still a few years away.

Its tank city. Clearly the Jazz are one of the worst teams in the league. Hayward looks better but struggles to be the first option scorer, he shows he is best as a 2nd or 3rd option player. Trey Burke has glimpses of greatness but he clearly wasn't ready to start. Favors and Kanter are good but they are still a few years away from being really good. Favors still struggles with fouling. Alec Burks doesn't progress much and its possible his time in Utah is coming to an end. The Jazz still show they have a bright future but they are still a few year away from being good. The Jazz are at the bottom of the league but the Jazz are basically guaranteed a top 3 pick.

These are not the only two options of course but they seem to be two extreme possibilities on how the team will play next year. Best and worst case scenario......depending on how you are looking at it. :)

I never want my team to do bad. I feel like losing is just a by product of adjusting. So getting a top pick wouldn't be that bad if our teach showed great improvement by the end of the season (kind of like the wizards this past season, they weren't good, but at the end they were doing great and they got the number 3 pick). I won't complain though if we do get a top pick. I think more people would like to see us winning though ;).

I would prefer significant leaps for our core players and that Golden State is decimated by injuries/chemistry and so we get the best of both worlds. Our players rising up and a great draft pick.

Can I say 1 1/2? I see it as a combination of the two. Not everything will go right and not everything will go wrong (so to speak).

But I chose #1 because I am a positive guy.

The Jazz rape so hard it pushes the Warriors out of the playoffs, their pick moves into top 3. That is scenario 1.5

A little bit of 1, lots of 2. I think we will surprise some teams and come away with some nice wins that we probably shouldn't have, to be followed by long stretches of crappy but exciting play with a young enthusiastic team that doesn't have the chops yet to play with the big boys.

2.

I'd rather be bad this next season and get a franchise player for the next decade.
In order for #1 to happen one of our young will have shown to either be a franchise player or close to it. If one of them doesn't show to be a franchise player then a few of them have shown to be really, really good. Which would almost be better. Either way I'd prefer 1. But believe it will be somewhere in the middle, as others have said.

I won't be able to stand another season of crappy offense. If Trey doesn't pan out I'm going to be depressed in spite of the good lottery position. It's a long season and I don't want to not enjoy another.

Jazz fans have been depressed for the last 3 years.

There is a very short list of Rookie Point guards who led their team to the playoffs as starters. In the semi modern era, I think you have D Wade, Penny Hardaway, Rose, and Marbury. Two of those guys had Shaq and one had prime KG.

That being the guide, if we make the playoffs in the west, then we probably have multiple allstars already in the fold. Give Trey some time with this current roster to get things clicking.

Worst scenario is to be the Blazers next season. Just do ok and get the 10th pick........but that probably is what happens.

That is what I am thinking. I think that the talent of our youth will increase our win total a little bit. I do not expect playoffs but I can see up to 34 wins.

I'm not looking for a rookie pg taken 9th to lead the team to the playoffs, obviously. I'm looking for a guy who struggles but shows he can run the offense better than Waste of Time Williams and the ragtag gang.

This team needed a competent point guard because we didn't have two efficient isolation scorers. It's been bloody hell watching Harris and Mo try to work. We're far from having two efficient iso players now; I'm praying for Hayward and Kanter to both make huge leaps. If that doesn't happen and Trey turns out being Brandon Knight? That would suck.

and to our surprise Golden State will have a multitude of injuries and end up forfeiting the number 1 pick (by winning the lottery) to us.

I would love to see 1, and why may see glimpses of it. I just think our bench is too weak for that to be sustained over an entire season. I think scenario #2 is what we'll likely see.
