Who will the Jazz keep for NEXT SEASON

Favors and Kanter will be erratic scorers next year and Millsap can't be depended upon to pick up the scoring load --> Millsap is odd man out.

Sap is going to be gone..I love him, but he just doesn't fit on our team. Jefferson's D is bad, but we need his scoring to win games. Favors is the future and Sap is just making things harder. Sad to see him go, love his heart and hustle

Jefferson stays

I have been frustrated with him at times but he has played well two games in a row. I think he is taking more and more of a leadership role which is a positive. Kanter and Favors have both said and others have said they have helped them with their footwork a lot, which is Jeffersons best ability. Also tonight Jefferson was all over hayward when he hit a good shot inside. He was out too pump him up and those are the little things that make a team better. Jefferson also went out of his way to feed Milsap the ball tonight. He seemed determined to get him some good shots. Jefferson is improving and fitting in better with the team. Milsap works hard and is a good guy but just not going to get this team any further.

I wonder how we will manage to keep Favors, Kanter, Hayward and even Burks in a few years from now, by paying 15 mil a year for jefferson

I voted neither based on the assumption that what is becoming apparent is that neither can lead us as starters to contention much less anything better than a 7 or 8 seed. Also consider that if combined they can't get us to anything better than the 7 seed, what is going to happen when we have only one of them? Well, maybe it is addition by subtraction because Favors and Kanter step up and play better than the player departed.

I would be okay with keeping either player if they are willing to take a 6th man role at $7-$8M per year for 3-4 years.

My guess is that only Millsap would.

My hope is we ship them off during the season and get Gasol! He is the only player available who can change our team now to a top 4 seed this year and next.

I've been saying it since well before the season started. Millsap will not be signing another contract to play in Utah. Whether or not our FO is smart enough to trade him, I have my doubts. Therefore, the answer is either Al or neither.

And I've been saying for the last month or so that I bet Millsap will be back for less than he is currently making. :D

I don't think either are coming back. No way Paul resigns because he'll be looking for a team with a path to start. I can see Al offering a little hometown discount, but he won't give in on years which I think is the dealbreaker. I'd be stunned if the Jazz were willing to go 4 years. And Al's going to have quality offers which makes it more difficult.

The X factor is the playoff picture this season and what offers they get for either. But they should be very open to trading both as long as Kanter doesn't nosedive.

I'm pretty sure I've head that the Jazz can't keep both without going over the luxury tax limit--which seems unlikely.

I don't see this as a remote possibility. Jazz have $26mm next season. Give Al $16 and Sap $12 and you're still not close.

Wow DutchJazzer - you really surprised me.

You've been one of the biggest Millsap supporter around here - giving Neg Rep to posters left, right and center who support any trade that involves Millsap. You're actually the reason I started this poll just to see where other posters stand on this issue.

Now you're saying it's Jefferson we'll keep?! Have a little faith bro! LOL..
