What's new

player interviews

Sounds like he's lost some confidence. But watch out if the positive locker room, team success and some encouragement from a vet leader like Mo gets this guy his groove back. I'm looking for a big year from Marvin.

I'm not. This guy and/or Randy Foye will be our scapegoats and have us clamoring for Dr. Smiles.

Far out man, listening to all the interviews has really gotten me excited about this coming season. I mean:

- we retained all the decent guys from last year
- we let go of all the garbage (I don't think I need to mention names here)
- we got some serious talent & leadership (I'm really excited about Mo & Marvin, especially)

We are DEEP y'all. We're DEEP!!!

earl - enes looks amazing physically. he says he's playing with more confidence, taking smack and playing -- wait for it -- ABOVE the rim. favors is a "grown man beast" and is also going to have a great year, but the big issue will be putting it all together. earl knew all along the jazz would make the playoffs and "put it out there as much as possible" to get guys to believe it, even when the outlook was pretty bleak. his injury status is day-by-day. "sooner or later i'll be on the court."

I can nearly guarantee Earl reads Jazzfanz. I know he made statements last year like this about Hayward.

Wait, so now the Jazz are involved with the Dolphin Exploration and Education Program?

Damn, Kanter actually gained 23 pounds in 2 weeks, then lost 50 pounds in 2 months. WTF?!?!

240 lbs sounds kind of light for Kanter, I wonder if he will be noticeably weaker on post defense.

Also, from Kanter's interview, the hazing the team put on him seemed like it had a positive impact on him.

I'd take that though if that means he can get up and be able to finish off those dunks/close range shots. He was atrocious last year in that area.

Yep. I would rather have someone light of foot. It was a good thing for Kevin Love. Kanter looked fat and slow during the summer league. That story of him gaining 20 pounds came out during summer league.

I am excited to see a lighter Kanter out there. He didnt look so good in summer league when he was fat.

Burks looks like he is constantly trying to seduce someone past the camera with the way he licks his lips while being interviewed.

KOC went to talk to Al in the offseason, to address him about his defensive woes specifically. Al then said that he focused this aspect during his workouts, being able to "go and guard Tony Parker then be able to run back to Tim Duncan".

Hmm.
