Good to see a sign of loyalty from a player. That is such an exceedingly rare thing nowadays.

Do you agree with Duncans decision?

I do agree with his decision. He's been in San Antonio forever and has 4 championships. He also likes winning and doesn't want to stand in the way of the Spurs being able to build a great team. It'll be nice to see him finish his career in San Antonio and not end up elsewhere like Olajuwon and Ewing.

Or even Malone...

All of his needs or wants were fulfilled there. he was part of a winning orginazation he brought alot to that team. it only seems right that he should finish there. i would have a hard time seeing tim on any team besides a spur. He will get to finish his nba career with basically every accomplishment possible, and it will all end with a place in the HOF So many others just achieve the nba draft and are shortly after forgotten.

If it's the right move for Duncan, great. I don't think he deserves any special accolade for doing what is best for him.

I agree with his decision. I appreciate loyalty. Who doesn't? But I would like too see him make that same decision in a situation with no rings after all those years. That's what pushed great players to do freaked out choices, desperate seekings.

Malone would have stayed with Utah if he had 4 rings too.

Would Duncan leave if he was in Malone's position?

True. Sometimes I forget that Malone finished with the Lakers since I was on my mission that entire season.
AS much as I don't really care for Malone, the person, I can see why he left. Utah had committed to a rebuild. Malone was near the end of his career, wanting to perhaps play 1-2 more years. I don't think him going to LA was disloyal or disrespectful.

Neither do I, especially since Stockton retired.

Me personally, I have a very...strong sense of loyalty. It is probably one of my defining characteristics.

However I am realistic enough to know I am fairly unique in the strength of my views there.

I'm sad that I've spread my seed for the night, but I'm saving a special -25 for you. What a horrid, horrid post.
