Players have quit

It's pretty obvious to me that The players have quit. You don't lose by a huge margin when he Knicks are without both melo and amare. You do not play the way we have been playing and not see the message being sent. The way we are playing it is pretty obvious that they do not fear Ty Corbin. They do not care about running whatever sets or defenses we have (probably because they have seen for far too long big al doing whatever the hell he wanted without being held accountable). They don't care about playing with real effort or passion. And they're merely playing an individual game, trying out, for different teams. Just look in the last game how many jumpers we chucked up. Guys aren't running an offense.

They have quit on Ty. And in a way, I can't blame them. Corbin and this fo really screwed them over.

Time to get rid of the vets, fire Ty, and actually rebuild.

This season has essentially been a waste

They quit last night, on a back to back at the end of a road trip after just barely losing three straight games. It's still early to say they've quit. Last night was just one game :)

Don't forget the Bulls were also missing three players besides Rose, and Robinson also missed the last half of the 4th quarter because he got injured.

I think this is a strong possibility. The whole league/media thought the Jazz would at least do one trade, and you have to imagine the players probably thought so too. No trades happened though, and they have been horrible ever since the deadline. Maybe the players are as unhappy with the distribution of playing time as we are.

Yeah, because that is the only time the Jazz have looked that bad on a back end of a back2back on the road.......

This has been going on for a long time. Players like Foye, Marvin, Big Al haven't been pushed by Ty.
They've gone through the motions one too many times, or just plain sucked on nights, and haven't been pulled.

I watched about 4 minutes of the game before my Disney On Ice expedition.

1. Hayward left Novak wide open twice, both times for no reason. He wasn't playing help D, just was kind of sagging off him for no good reason.

2. Al had a nice hook, then next time he got the ball got triple teamed, tried to force it up after a few seconds, got it blocked out of bounds off Marvin.

3. Burks took 2 early shot clock contested shots.

4. Novak was money.

5. Disney on Ice wasn't that bad, a little expensive but my daughter was in heaven so its all good.

Last game of a 4 game road trip, 3 previous being demoralizing losses, this is to be expected really.

Offense execution was as bad as I have ever seen. The Jazz were continually out beyond the 3 point line making contested passes to a teammate out beyond the 3 point line. The few times they got it into BA he did not want to go against Chandler and tossed it back out. Bad bad coaching, bad bad execution. Defense was not any better, continually getting beat on the perimeter and letting guys into the lane, often for a pass and layup/dunk. I cannot remember a game where the execution was worse than this.

.....when the players quit on the coach....the coach HAS TO GO! If the front office doesn't see that....then they should sell the team, which is now becoming more and more of a possibility, don't ya think???

They quite because it doesn't matter how they play the minutes will stay the same. Corbin does not seem to hold anyone accountable for the crappy play.

To quit you had to have been trying in the first place. From jump ball last night it was readily obvous The Jazz were mailing it in. There was absolutely no one fighting for rebounds, no one fighting through screens or setting screens.

Having said that, I don't think this team has quit as in permanently. I thought there was some real effort in the first 3 road games - but after 3 tough losses you definitely got the sense of "the hell with it" from the team last night.

when players quit, the fans are not very far behind.
I urge you to please not quit on jazzfanz.com, fans.

I think there is a core4 versus veteran issue

Core4 know they are better than starters and are sick of it

Hayward is caught in the middle cuz he gets to close with vets

However Hayward plays much better with the core 4 than with the vets

Never been as embarrassed to be a Jazz fan as I am this season. The effort by the players is pathetic. The Coach is a joke.

In fact it hasn't been a waste. We now figured out what we have in coach Corbin. It would be much worse if we reloaded with young talent, went through few losing years attributing losses to guys' lack of experience and then figured out Corbin sucks well into core team's prime years arguing if it's Corbin who sucks or our guys are in fact not that talented as expected and crying over "building losing culture".

So no. I say it was worth it.

That is if the FO office sees what we see.
