Players we could realistically obtain

Haywards a grown boy. And How is Millsap going to be a 6th man. Seriously giving up a 28 year old Granger for a 25 year old Millsap who fits there need. Since they have George or even Hayward to set up and make a difference at the 3. What wins Championships the PG/PF/C spots. Collision, Millsap, Hibbert Solid core to build on for the future. While only giving up Mcroberts who hasnt played and lost his spot to Hanboro and Foster. its a win win for both teams. Plus the payroll relief Indy would get from taking back Millsap. And Granger is just what the Jazz need. Millsap/Jefferson isnt working!!

Unless it is MJ, or Kobe, or Wade, or Dr. J, or Pierce, or Ginobli, etc. Those guys might have had something to do with a few championships once or twice.

I wouldn't mind making a run at Marcus Thornton. Could be tough to pry him away from N.O. as he is a fan favorite there (he went to my alma mater LSU), and he's still on his rookie contract. But he can shoot, he's athletic, and plays decent defense.

What would you trade would propose that would match his contract?

Iggy certainly looked like he could shoot against the Jazz. I would love having Iggy because he plays defense and he can score and create his own shot. Yes his outside shot isn't always on but he can shoot from the outside.

I would be ok with Mayo at the right price. Is Granger even available? I wouldn't mind Thornton either.

No player is realistically obtainable this season unless AK or Okur are part of the deal. I'm sure KOC has a standing offer for Hamilton/AK. NJ would undoubtedly put all kinds of packages together to unload Outlaw. Josh Childress anyone?

Of course, we could also play our best wings the most minutes and our worst wings the least minutes and see what happens.

The next time the Jazz do a major impact mid-season trade, it would be the first time in the last decade. I think anyone following the Jazz for along time wouldnt hold their breath on any trades. If it happens, fine cool.

But having said if I am allowed to play fantasy GM, I would say considering KOC's past ties with the Sixers some package of AK with Bell/Miles/Hayward
for Iggy//Nocioni/Hawes would'nt be too bad. Iggy is really the prize here for us and for them AK's expiring contract is(in place of 2-3 years for Iguodola). They have some young guys putting up points like Thad and they dont really need Iguodola's multiyear contract.

Who are we going to get rid of? We've already invested in Raja Bell. Do you really think we'd trade him now?
CJ Miles? We aren't getting rid of Hayward.

Who would we clear to make room for this new 2 guard.

If it's assumed that AK is the trade chip to get a starting SG, then Bell goes to the bench, and Miles and Hayward would split time at SF.

only 3 ppl I even consider long shots in this thread are Kevin Martin, Iggy (very long shot) and SJax. I think any of these players would make a major impact on our season. As for anything happening I wouldn't count on it.

martin is playing very well right now. Would be tough to get him. Short of DWill not sure they would trade him for anyone on our roster.

The Jazz can only reasonably obtain d-leaugers or scrubs, because the Jazz have got no assets they are willing to part with. Starting last December the Jazz gave away, then let walk away, then traded away every asset they had.

Mislap's contract is tradeable but the jazz won't get rid of their 'core'

AK's contract is not an assett because the jazz would either have to take back equally bad contracts or give away assets for another team to take on a bad contract. Besides the jazz have structured their team payroll for next year to just let AK walk and get nothing in return.
