What's new

Playoffs have sucked

How do you know some of the young guys that don't play for either team aren't better than some of the players that are playing?

I guarantee there is a group of people calling for Karl's head for not playing someone.

I think it's Fournier people wanted over Brewer....

Man, I want Dwill to succeed, but that team is not going anywhere for the next 3 years. It's just mind boggling how you can give Gerald Wallace 4 years 40mil and Humphries 2 years 24mil...

Humphries was overpaid in an effort to make a D12 trade happen. Backfired.

It's not mind boggling if you realize that it's the same vice-GM who suggested we bring on board Al Jefferson.

(I believe DWill is behind the Wallace signing)

That would be a dowbgrade. Howard is an overrated cry baby.

I dunno, there is enough there with Curry, etc, that all he needs to do is block shots & put back dunks.

GSW is an exciting team right now, it wouldn't surprise me if Howard jumps ship.

Lakers' a mess ATM.

Wierd that both DWill and CP3 are out of playoffs.
Look at this though- two of the best PGs in the league who are the alpha sharks in their team can't get past the first rounds. The only one left is GoldenState with Steph.

PG's are like RB's in the NFL. They are over-rated. Great teams don't have amazing PG's. They have wing scorers (Parker and Westbrook fall in this category).

And down go the Nets and Deron Williams!
If I were Johnson, I'd be looking over my shoulder for Prokhorov's comrades, sent to exact a pound of flesh for his playoff performance.

Conference finals: Jerry Sloan 6, Deron Williams 1.

Its a shame that this has to buried in the playoffs thread. It ought to be a banner on the Jazz front page or made into a bumper sticker and slapped on D-wills Cadillac.

Another good one.

Chris Paul and Deron Williams both out in 1st round. In his career Deron has 4 playoff series wins and CP3 has 2

Mark Jackson > Ty Corbin.

I don't understand why people call Mark Jackson a bad coach. He seems to be doing a good job. His team is motivated and they are winning. He doesn't play terrible vets just because of there age. Look at Richard Jefferson riding the pine behind Barnes, and its paying off. If that were a Jazz team, we know that Richard Jefferson would be getting all the minutes over Barnes. We would be lucky to have Mark Jackson right now.

You forgot to mention Biedrins. He is one of the highest paid players on the team and he hasn't even played a minute in the playoffs.

The Nets are such a mess. They are the perfect example of how not to GM. How does Billy King even have a job? That's gotta be why Jay Z sold his shares. Not just because he wants to be an agent. He saw how that the Nets were going no where fast.

They could have a core of Lopez, Favors, Kanter, and Lillard right now, instead of that hot mess. With the difference of 100's of millions of dollars, and no way to fix it. Wow.

Williams and CP3 will never lead their team to a championship. They may end up being an 2nd or 3rd best player on a championship team but never as the main star. NBA just doesn't work for star PGs.

.....I think Tony Parker has done very well at the point guard position. Of course, he's been on the smartest team in the league for the past 10 years or so. That does make a difference no matter what position your looking at. So as it stands right now, I'm pulling for the Spurs to win it all, then maybe the Grizzles, possibly the Bull's only because of my Chicago ties, and then hope the Knicks, Heat, and whomever is left can crash and burn!
