Please ask for a trade, Dante

I think you attach a second rounder and it’s a decent deal of Orlando wants to roll the dice. They’re already doing that with Fultz, though. But they’re not going anywhere. Them holding on to Aminu on his deal is pointless.

I'd like to get Aminu. And there are some pros for Orlando in an Aminu for Exum swap. But honestly I think they can find a better deal involving Aminu (and they probably will). They really need help offensively. I doubt a defensive PG/Wing is their focus. Who knows though, teams do weird stuff.

I had a dream he requested a trade Kanter style.

Exum should never have resigned and jazz should not have offered the money he is on now. Both sides screwed each other.

His style, whatever it is, does not fit here and Quin dispite his positive comments clearly has no time or plans for him.

Either a team has to take a big risk to trade this season or he might go next as a salary dump.

Exum is probably asking for a trade behind the scenes. He's not one to be taking to twitter or the media to cause a ruckus about it though. He'll be a FA in a year and a half and needs to show something.

I'm sure like most of you, I have noticed how many good young guards are coming up who are better than Dante. I really wonder if Dante will still be in the league after his contract expires. The league has gotten stronger because of all the great young talent and a lot of the weak teams have improved because of this. Just look at Memphis, as an example, or the Pacers, who kicked our butt the other night. That I think is an issue going forward, not only for Dante but the Jazz.

Quin isn't playing Dante because it's pretty clear he's on a minutes restriction... he had a pretty serious injury and he's playing NBA games for the first time in like 10 months.

This. Good point. I dont think ppl realise how serious a patella tendon injury is. Just look at Andre Roberson

I love how both Jazzfanz and Jazz fans in general overreact when it comes to Exum.

Yes, he has *some* trade value. Not a lot, but the idea that you would have to give up a first just to dump him is overreacting. His contract is not THAT bad. His value on the court to teams is as a wing defender with upside offensively.

The issue is that the pool of teams who would be willing to trade for him is small. Interest would likely come from young rebuilding teams whose best players are currently on rookie deals. Because teams in that situation aren't going to be as concerned with Exum's salary. By the time that money being free is important to them his contract will be expiring. That pool of teams gets even smaller when you factor in that the Jazz would only consider a move that makes them better now.

He's a non-rotation player coming off of his third major injury. Like I said, you can believe in Dante, but to think he has any trade value is foolish. He has to be a rotation player to even start that conversation.

Trade idea

I know it’s early but I hat seeing a guy make 10 mil sitting in the bench.

Utah gives Exum and 2nd rnd pick
Orlando gives Gordon and Isaac and Fournier
Spurs give derozan and Forbes

Jazz get Isaac and Forbes
Magic get derozan and exum
Spurs get Gordon Fournier and 2nd rnd

Yay/nay?

I know nothing about Isaac, but it looks like he’s pretty long and can rebound. Sure.

Not familiar with Forbes, either, but see he’s averaging 13 ppg. Not even sure we could land him for Exum, let alone him and Isaac.
