What's new

Pleiss

I agree with this.

well in my opinion it would be embarrassing for the jazz to be so desperate that they need to add a back up center to their roster from a league that is below the standard of the NBA. Surely now they can find a back-up center from within the NBA either through free agency or trade/draft that is far more talented than the option we are discussing here..

This is just stupidity right here, no knowledge of the situation.

Pleiss joined FC Barcelona this year which already had Tomic who is widely regarded as the best center in Europe.

Last year on the team he was on he started 50 of the possible 59 games, averaged 12.4 PPG, 6 RPG, and 1.1 BPG in 21.8 minutes a game.

He is 25 and was drafted 31st in 2010, OKC tried bringing him over this year and their plan was 2015-16 (this upcoming season).

Collison has been a very valuable player for them.

They didn't draft Lamb.

Every team misses some. OKC's track record is wellll above average, deep into the "good" realm.

You're probably right. I still wouldn't consider Collison a good pick, and good call on Lamb.

Anyways, I'm just not feeling Pleiss. Maybe he could be a good backup, but I think we could do better for similar or less money.

He looks really big. Has some offensive skills close to the basket. Seems to have pretty good hands (though highlight tapes can be deceptive because they only show the times he succeeds).

This guy Makes Kanter look like an elite athlete.

According to BMG's logic the Bulls should have passed on Mirotic. Now if we want someone bigger than Gobert Boban Marjonivic is apparently interested in coming to the NBA. Now if you look in the dictionary for big lumbering center he would be there, but he really has improved the last few years.

White Chocolate rebounding hard to Pleiss after getting spurned by Tomic.

Tomic is obviously better, but I'm just saying Pleiss isn't bad and we could actually get something worth while out of the Kanter trade asset wise (Gobert blew up because of it).

At least this guy has the desire to play in the NBA. Better than the other guy who has none.

This dude also isn't a star who is revered and love in Spain and gets paid top Euro.

He's also not a ***** whooped bitch...

We wanted Tomic for a specific skill - passing. Not sure we bring over Pleiss unless he can pass or shoot.
