Point Guard Contingency Plan - Summer of 2017

Here's something to think of ,I don't even think they need to get a bunch of veterans.Simmons can average 10 assists just feeding Embiid and Saric.Embiid 20ppg in 25 mpg.Saric avg. 20ppg and 9.9 rpg last 7 games. They will win alot of games in the EC next year if they are healthy.

If Embiid stays healthy and they add George Hill, they probably win more games than the Jazz next year.

One more hurdle in trying to get Jrue... looks to me like a long shot at this stage.

Jazz won't do anything until they know what Hayward is going to do. If he leaves then we blow up the team and start building around Gobert. But like David Locke said this morning. "We've never had players up and leave really." Which I think is a valid point. We are all just worrying about the future way too much. We should live in the moment and enjoy the great run we are on.

Kings Nets and Sixers would all offer close to the max for Hill is my guess. Maybe New York but I'm not sure they have the space ATM.

True... I guess that's why it's a 'contingency' plan at the moment, we don't know what's going to happening, just hashing out other options. I'd imagine DL is doing the same thing right now.

Hill is not going to be stupid enough to go to those teams just to get a bit more money. I'd imagine his agent is just saying that to get the max. he can get if he stays in Utah.

To be honest I personally think Hill prefers to stay here and have a run at the Championship once more rather than joining the bottom feeders.

I hope you are right. I guess the concern is that now we can't use that 13.6 million to front load a Hill deal, so salary cap issues will be more bothersome.

Not only that I think its 13 million less the Jazz will offer overall on the life of the contract.

If he is choosing between Utah and 4/100 and Sacramento at 4/132... you think he bypasses 32 M... if we were the warriors maybe but that is what we may be looking at.

Yeah but you're stuck playing for the Kings for the remainder of your career with no hope in hell in making the playoffs ever again vs playing with a fun team that's 3rd-4th in the West year in year out with a chance of winning a final Championship.

I don't know if he would want that to be his lasting legacy.

I didn't think about the knicks. You would think that with Rose on an expiring 25M deal they would have room.

I think they'd have to do some caphold stuff but I think it could be easily doable.

Could force a trade and I'm not sure players care that much about winning and losing again we aren't the warriors. I live near Sacramento... I prefer it over Utah and it's not really close.

So u lose a few games NBD... I don't know that non-all stars worry about legacy.

Yeah it always start out so well... but the Morris brothers didn't work out so well in Phoenix though.

They werent wrong about the contracts though.. Marcus is worth 2-3 times what Detroit now pays him.. Utah would've been wise to trade for him

Also we're talking about the Knicks here.. the bar is set very low
