With all of the talk about Ty's performance as head coach I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on how long management will stick with Ty. I know the Jazz have a history of sticking by their head coach but Greg is not Larry and times are changing. So please selct one of the options and post why you selected the timeframe.

I think he will start to improve. I think most of Jazzfanz will just link his improvement to the forced loss of veterans though, and a portion of the board will still start annoying *** threads about him a few times a week.

just enough to continue the mediocrity.

I think most of us will link his performance to wins/losses and development of his players. If you don't like the annoying *** threads, don't respond.

you have a sweet spirit......

As for Ty, do people keep track of the rest of the league? Remember the old clippers? Lottery pick after lottery pick and still they swam in the muck at the bottom year after year? How about the Knicks? Same story. And now you have the Lakers who have a bonafied coach and they are as bad as the clippers were with Kobe, Dwight, Pau, and Nash? My point is that the coach is only part of why a team succeeds and really a small part. Other teams struggle both because of bad coaching and bad chemistry and here the Jazz are at .500 after the worst scedule in the NBA.

Man he sucks.

I'd like to see what Ty can do without a one-dimensional cog sitting at the center of his machine.

I like what he's been willing to do through these injuries.

Right now, I'm more pissed at O'LongConner and Lindsey for playing solitaire 'n ****

Isn't it Ty's job to remove the COG from his machine? Aren't there other options for him to use? I know he cannot trade AL but he can certianly play Favors and Kanter more to reduce Al's time. So I will not give him a pass (nor should you) because of this "one dimensional cog" because it is self inflicted.

This is where the automatic excuse of "he has to play Al so the jazz can trade him" comes into play.

Im gonna laugh my *** off when the trade deadline passes and corbin still plays Al way too much..... Then i will cry after im done laughing

It's the Ty and Jefferson combo which makes it OK to miss Jazz games. I don't remember not watching so many games in a season. :'(

Realistically, the Jazz won't fire him. They'll wait until he fails next year with the young guys. That's a year too late, but I hope it happens sooner. He just doesn't know how to coach a dynamic offense.

Do you seriously think Dantoni is a bonafide coach? I would say his body of work would suggest the opposite. Thankfully, Lakers management agreed with you (only to spite Phil) and it will come back to bite them in the a$$. They have two great post players, and a coach that hates using a post player. Ingenious.

Well I'm glad that Greg is in charge when it comes to matters like this. Larry would wait longer to fire anyone imo.

thought the results of this poll were ineresting. 3 weeks ago 63% of the respondents thought Ty would be here for 5+years or until the team folded. Only 10% thought he would be fired befor the end of next season. Do you still agree with this? Do you think that the Jazz front office is sticking with Ty regardless? Would firing Ty be an admission that they hired the wrong guy? Do they have the courage to overcome this?
