Probably short handshakes, but it would be nice if some just gave him the treatment he showed his former teammates on the way out. Not a word; just act as if he doesn't exist.

For one thing, the NBA players association has enough influence, like it does in every major sport, that players outwardly support each other in these kind of situations. Secondly, GH has plenty of players on the team that still like him even though he blew town. Go ahead and do a bogus, cheap shot, and bush league dislike again Cappy but it is true.

Source? I think most who were teammates last year feel very slighted that he said nothing good about them.
Think about it...your friend or work colleague leaves with no notice. Even writes a blog he knows you'll read. Has zero to say about the time he spent with your work group. Doesn't have to say he liked working for XYZ Corp. Just had to say he wishes his colleagues well and appreciates their support over the past 7 years.

Case in point...I'll be leaving my job within the month. Have absolutely ZERO respect for my immediate bosses who have treated me horribly. But I will at LEAST be thanking most of my colleagues for the last 16 months and wishing them good luck.

Sorry, the premise behind this question is a little silly. Hayward didn't screw his teammates - he screwed the fans. You think Hood, Burks and Favors are all torn up that Hayward left? They're probably thrilled - I can guarantee you their agents are. The door is now wide open for them for minutes and shots during a contract year.

I mean come on - it's not like The Jazz were one player away from knocking off GSW. With the exception of Gobert, The Jazz are a collection of players on expiring, short term, or rookie deals looking to establish a name or keep themselves relevant in the league. You think that's less important than Hayward not throwing them boutiques on the way out the door?

Rudy and Gordon have made up. At least the edge is off.

Rudy liked one of Haywards pictures. Its all good. lol.

Good post but I just wanted to let you know that this isn't a contract year for Burks.
Your point is still valid though.

thanks - I also meant "bouquets" not "boutiques"

Although throwing "boutiques" at them creates a lot funnier visuals.

If Hayward is playing for the Celtics like he has so far in the preseason, they will just laugh at him.
