I like to see how people view and hope for the future. There are many possible variants that could be added to the 4 I've put in the poll but this gives decent breadth without creating too many possibilities. This is a personnel poll not a coaching poll as I know coaching could be something you'd really want to dive into. This is not that poll, assume I guess that coaching neither hinders nor boosts in a big way the players.

Love to see what people think - especially with responses outlining the why. And definitely as it plays out for how our team looks in 2-3 years. Thanks for the input on first thread and first poll. A bit inspired by that whole LURKERS thread from a few weeks ago.

=======================================
Poll details for those accessing via mobile:

1) 6TH PLAYOFF SPOT - Young Core all take a big step forward possible all-star mentions, bench is surprising, mid-season at .500 we trade 2014 GSW and Jazz picks + Bieds expiring for an additional fringe all-star to push to playoffs, end up 48 wins and 6th spot in West after going 24-18 to finish, BUT requires starting 2014-2015 right at edge of luxury tax because of new mid-season trade AND resigning core members

2) JUST MISS PLAYOFFS BUT GOLDEN STATE FALLS APART - Young core looks good but not fantastic still looks like good upside, bench is meh, Jazz pick 2014 is #16, GSW have massive injuries issues (not wishing it on them just scenario) their pick in 2014 is #7

3) JAZZ STRUGGLE GET 5TH PICK AND GSW 9TH PICK - Young Core doesn't progress a lot, defense looks good but we struggle a lot to get buckets, some bright spots but nothing special, GSW struggles as well, Jazz 2014 pick #5, GSW pick #9

4) WE GET WIGGINS AFTER INJURIES AND STRUGGLES - Our core really struggles AND we have a couple of injuries that put 1-2 starters out 40-50 games, We win the lottery Wiggins wears the green and gold in 2014, GSW pick is #22

Quick edit: Apparently can't post long answers so check out the details at the bottom of first post before voting.

Interesting to consider when the 6th would mean no flexibility for moves/trades when at luxury tax level.

Ill take a 9th seed if it means that the Dubs finish bottom 8 in the league.

Wiggins is the best player to be in the draft for probably 10 years. If we added wiggins to what we already have I believe we win a ship.

Id like no playoffs for the dubs and the jazz. If it meant the Jazz were contenders for the next 12 years.

I want us to make the playoffs, and look good in them. Take someone to 7 games, and have tons of hope for the future.
The Warriors fall apart, and we get Wiggins or a top 4 player from them. It is the future, I have foreseen it.

6th spot. If this team can nail down the 6th with San Antonio, Memphis, OKC, Houston, Clippers, GSTankers..then that means the the C6 blew up and are taking the league by storm. It means we already have our guy and don't need to rest our hopes on the 2014 draft.

Having said that, taking this group into the 2014 draft with 2 first round picks isn't exactly a nightmare.

Pretty sure Wiggins wins at least one NBA championship before its all said and done, so the right answer is any scenario with us getting him.

This...

I want us to be the best team in the league this year, win the chip, AND get wiggins with the GS pick

Thus far nice to see post history for member's lines up with the voting. At least you guys stick to your guns. Still early but looks like most are towards the extremes while losing flexibility (cap space for those voting for 6th spot, and more high quality pieces to play with for those voting Wiggins). Still several that I'm interested in seeing how they vote ... waiting for the Monday "return to screen" vote to see where this all plays out.

I want us to have one of the most embarrassing and worst seasons of all time to get a 25% shot at getting Wiggins!

The poll doesn't say anything about having the highest odds of landing Wiggins, it simply says we get Wiggins. So yeah, getting Wiggins (and thus become contenders for the rest of, well, forever) is the best thing that could possibly happen.
