Is it just me, or does anyone else think all this optimism could be the owners way of setting up the players to give in? With optimism comes expectations that a deal could (and should) get done soon, which could ultimately just be the owners way of putting more pressure on the players to give in to their demands. I'm definitely more optimistic today than I was a week ago, but if the owners are as crude as some of them are made out to be, it wouldn't surprise me if they now went for the jugular and if a deal doesn't get done just throw all the blame on the players.
I would hope and pray that reason would dictate today's negotiations, and not emotion/greed/ego.
