Reminded me of episode when I was a student and needed to do experiment on one mouse. You usually grab them by a tail and that sucker somehow turned around and bit me. Instinctively I pulled my hand up really fast and poor thing went flying, hit the ceiling and then landed on the floor bleeding from the nose and twitching.

....by the way, 2 mice with no predators to bother them, will produce 5,000 offspring in just ONE year! 5,000 mice with no predators after one year....well, you do the math! Thank goodness for SNAKES!

why is this funny? that he has that napkin stuck to his leg?
He is supposed to keep holding the ball until after he goes into red area of the field.

Dropping the ball where he did resulted in a catastrophe

so kind of like missed open layup? I get it now... do you think he dropped it by accident or he just misjudged where the line is? And did it cost them championship or something?

He was celebrating early. Came back to bite him and his team in a big way. Huge momentum changer. This is more the equivalent of a botched pass that stops the rally and leads directly to the opposing team nailing a wide open 3 to shift momentum.

I would say it is the equivalent of a 5 on 0 fast break and the guy with the ball decides to pass back to the other team who can take a few open tries at a three until they make it. It was in the first half of the game so it did not decide anything just shifted momentum.

I think its much more catastrophic than that.

Average points in a basketball game is like what? 100?
In football it's probably like 25?

That play was a 14 point swing...... which equates to something like 40 pts in a basketball game. Maybe that's too much, but it was a HUGE play.

Except in football, where there are only typically say 30 points and a touchdown gets you about 7 points, the basketball equivalent would be like a botched pass that would have counted for 23 points and instead led to the opposing team hitting a wide open 23 point shot to shift momentum.

I feel bad for the guy even though I'm not a Ute fan at all. Hopefully he can get over it. It's a lot like the high school (Payson? I can't recall for sure) QB a week or two ago that forgot to down the ball after time expired and so his team lost in the playoffs.

Yeah, what he said. :-)

Wait what??? Are you guys really trying to compare basketball scores to football scores? 14 points in football is nowhere near the same thing as 25 points in basketball.

Hence why I said this

Maybe that's too much, but it was a HUGE play.

Others were saying it's like missing a layup and then the other team making a three pointer.

A 14 point swing in a football game is a little bigger deal than 5 points in a basketball game imo.
Do you agree?
