Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

Right... I think TJ in particular just hates certain guys and Vuc is one of them.

With regard to Capela... I mean would Atlanta do Capela for Vuc... split their center time with Okongwu and Vuc? I don't think its laughable. The guy has some value.
It doesn't seem like Atlanta liked their last offseason that much at all. They regret either the Capela deal, or Collins deal, or both.

I could see them wanting Vuc for Capela. Like you said, it allows them to groom Okongwu for the future while having a good stretch big for Trae to use.

As for us, I just don't love Capela. He's not Horford, or Looney or that type of big. I just don't think he would play that much on a contending team, and if we got him, we could run into the same issues we are running into now having a big who can only screen and finish at the rim.

I saw this on twitter, and it summed up my thoughts on the current situation pretty well.

I hate speculation tweets like these. We don't even have a coach or a list of coaches.

And if we trade Rudy, it could have nothing to do with Don at all. It could be Ainge saying - "playoff series aren't won by offensively limited rim protecting centers making $30+ million a year". Sounds familiar....

Lmao I wouldn’t take Gobert over Deron or Boozer or Mitchell but yeah best player since Stockton and Malone… sure.

Other Jazz fans are hilarious. According to Cy my perception of other Jazz fans perception of Rudy is off.
Rudy has been a damn good player, but he hasn't taken us anywhere in the playoffs. I don't know how that puts him above Deron/Boozer.

And the Don vs Rudy argument is a good one, but nobody thinks Rudy was more important than Don in beating OKC or Memphis. Or at least they have no reason to feel that way.

Gobert is a future hall of famer...definitely can't say that about Deron or Boozer.

Because Deron and Boozer lucked into a western conference finals appearance by beating an 8 seed in the second round that makes them better players than Gobert? GTFOH with that ****.

Rudy hasn't even turned 30 yet and has already accomplished way more than Deron or Boozer ever did in their careers.

Career wise yes. Strictly in their prime Deron was ****ing amazing. Best PG in the league.

Deron was All-NBA 2nd team twice and Gobert has only done that once in 2017.

Deron for a 4-year span in a row averaged a combined 19.2 PPG, 10.5 APG, 3.4 RPG, 1.2 SPG on 47.3% from the field.

Lol, no we can't. Being a delusional homer isn't a prerequisite for being a fan of a team.
We had a coach who built everything around Rudy and it worked for regular season success (1 great season really).

We will have a new coach who could bring a completely different approach and get different things out of different guys.

Anything is possible. Be positive.

I will choose to be positive always.

With that being said. The West is going to be a bloodbath this year. Kawhi is coming back, Lillard is coming back, Murray is coming back and the Lakers won’t be as bad as they were. Even with Gobert it’s going to be hard to be a top-4 or top-5 seed. The more I think about it we should just trade Gobert regardless.

Frankly, it'd be stupid not to blow it up if we trade Rudy.

The route the Jazz are currently going, it's looking like they'll be a play-in team at best for the next couple seasons followed by Mitchell requesting a trade. Yay.
