**** anyone not picking Jazz to win the series. Maybe you don't bet on it but if you're a Jazz fan you pick is to win. Being a fan means you are a homer. I swear we have a hand full of downers who are more concerned about being right about predicting Jazz would suck and the rebuild failed than appreciating our bad *** team.

Jazz win in 5 or 6.

Can I have it in the front or the back?

A. I wouldn't.

B. So we can all be fans and homers and be excited about our team and get pumped for the playoffs.

I love this team, And I'm super excited for the playoffs, and it would be so awesome to win a playoff series again. That said, though my heart says Jazz are going to win, my mind says Clippers in 7. Young teams that finally make it into the postseason don't generally advance first time around right? OKC, Raptors, Celtics, Memphis Hell even the Spurs when Duncan was a rookie (and that team wasn't even that young as a whole though I don't think.) Seems to always be in their second trip that they advance. Might be different since we have a few vets that will be very important to us: Hill, Diaw and JJ. I'm super hopeful the Jazz will win but I think Clips in 7 because of their experience, chemistry and we don't have a healthy Derrick Favors.

I would love to hear or read people's opinions on why the Jazz win other than being a homer. I already said why I thought they wouldn't. Please enlighten me into thinking WHY the jazz will win other then....... "Uhhh, Jazz by 6."

Here's some more on why we wont:
1. We lost to them 3-1 during the regular season.
2. We lost to them in points spread 356 to 392.
3. We aren't healthy, they are (except Rivers who will play during playoffs)
4. We have no idea what our lineup will be game day. They do.
5. The Clippers have won their last 10 out of 12 games and only lost the other 2 games by a total of 3 points.
6. Doc is legitimately a better coach as of right now.
7. We have little to no experience in the playoffs outside of the 3 people we brought in this season.

You still don't get it. Most people don't have a problem with you picking the clippers. You are not the only one picking them.
It's your history of negative posts about the jazz.
This is a jazz fans message board. Your posts are public. We see them. You will occasionally get called out for being so negative and pessimistic about the jazz on a jazz fans site.
Strange that you can't understand such an obvious and simple concept.

It should be a long series, 6 or 7 games. CP3 can go nuts and win a couple games by himself, but he can't carry the series. How well the Jazz defend the Clippers pick-and-roll and how well the Clippers shooters play (Redick, Crawford and Rivers) will decide the series.

The Jazz are a better defensive team. The Clippers are a better offensive team. It's going to be a real test for both sides.

Keys:

** George Hill v. CP3 matchup -- Can Hill defend CP3 in the pick-and-roll and even neutralize him offensively?
** Jazz wings -- Jazz have length with Hood and Ingles at the 2, the Clippers have quickness with Redick and Rivers. Can the Jazz make this work to their advantage and pick up extra rebounds?
** Hack-a-Jordan -- Will DAJ's sub-50% FT% get exploited and force him off the floor, which would open up Rudy's and Hayward's roll game? Will some extra fouls slow the Clippers' offensive flow?
** How many minutes will Speights play? Is he an effective stretch-5, or will the Clippers lose too much defense and rebounding? Favors vs. Speights will be an interesting match-up in the 2nd unit.
** Hayward, Hill, Hood and Joe Johnson have to score the ball. Whoever plays the back-up guard minutes has to make a legit contribution as well.

And I'm a fan of the Jazz. Whether or not I think the Jazz will win a game or lose, I'm still entitled to post my opinion about that particular game or thread. Just because I don't go "JAZZ 82-0 THIS YEAR LOL," or "HAYWARD WILL GET 80 POINTS THIS GAME" doesn't make me any less of a fan. I give my opinion to whatever the game or thread is about. If you don't want to see an opinion ON BOTH SIDES OF A TOPIC then you probably should never have read it in the first place.

I appreciate others take on my opinions but you really won't get anywhere if you always look straight-edge on every topic (or thread).

You really dont realize the only times you show up is to say some negative ****?

I never said that I didn't? I've also said good things about the Jazz too

Prove it.

Also glad you still have me quoted at the bottom. Guess we made the playoffs... We still have to see about Hayward but it seems pretty likely he will stay.

You can easily look it up. It's literally 1 click away. I never doubted we'd make the playoffs but I still believe Hayward leaves.

Anyways, I'm more interested in people's predictions for the Clippers or Jazz over my posts hurting people's feelings LOL. Get over it you ****ing babies, it's a sports team not your life.

You still don't get it. No one thinks you should be saying that we will go 82-0 or hayward will score 80. Don't be dense. Most of your posts are negative about a really good team that you claim to be a fan of. Doesn't make much sense.

Its hard to call yourself a realist when you thought the rebuild was a mess up and we should have traded Hayward and others and started over. You also thought we would not make the playoffs. So you have been way off and much more negative in your predictions than what the facts are. We won 50 or 51 games and made the playoffs with ease despite everything going wrong health wise this season.

1. and 2. We have not faced them as healthy as we will in the playoffs. We missed a lot of games this season due to injury but had we been healthy we would have had a much better record.

3. We should be healthy for the playoffs. Every player is expected to be back and ready to play. The only one who isnt at 100% is Favors but it sounds like he will play and with no back to backs I expect him to be a big help for us.

4. Our coaches know what our lineup will be and I am guessing it is our preferred starters and the same rotations we have had when we had everyone available. Besides our depth and roster flexibility is a strength. They do not know what we will throw at them and can not prepare for that. We have many players that can play different spots and come it at different times to help us. Our depth and flexibility is way beyond theirs and much more difficult to prepare for. We know what we are facing with them. We also have years of footage to look at and know exactly the sets they will run and what players will do in the playoffs.
5. Cool, they had a healthy roster and a very very easy schedule to finish. They should have won most of those games.
6. Doc has not done anything with this squad. They have been a huge let down with him as the head coach. With Del Negro they made it to the second round of the playoffs Doc has not done any better in the 3 years since. They won 1 more regular season with him over Del Negro. Plus the team got better the next year with trades after Del Negro left. Arguably Del Negro did more with that roster. The team should have gotten better naturally with players getting better. Quin has yet to prove himself in the playoffs so I guess it is an unknown but I would not call Doc a clear cut better coach.
7. Lack of experience does not mean we wont do well. That is just an unknown. Hayward has playoff experience. Favors has playoff experience. The guys we brought in have a **** ton of playoffs experience. Dwill and Boozer era did alright with the same or less experience their first year. Clippers had little playoff experience when they brought in CP3 and they beat the 4th seed Griz that year. There are plenty of examples of teams doing well their first year in. Besides 2 of the guys we brought in have a lot of experience and Diaw has championship experience that is beyond what the Clippers have.

Our team is much more hungry and has shown that we can play at a much higher level when needed. We also have shown when healthy we are an incredibly good team this year and we will be as healthy as we have been this season which bodes well for us.

A lot of stats favor us in this matchup and we have played very well on the road this year so home court might not be much of a factor for us.

We have a big time emerging star that keeps getting better at a fast rate in Gobert. He could really take another step in the playoffs. He has another gear when needed that will show up in the playoffs. CP3 chokes a lot in playoffs and a healthy Hill and a much improved defensively Exum can slow him down. Blake has taken a step back this year. Jordan sucks at FTs and that could really bite them in a physical series. Their backup C is not a physical player. Their guys are getting older and due to a weak and aging bench their starters will have to play a lot more minutes and likely have to fight back from the lost ground when their bench is in. Their star bench player is very old and maybe he steps up but he could struggle as well with a grinding playoff series. The team most similar to the Jazz that Clips have faced in the playoffs before is the Griz and both series went to 7 games and each has won once. The Clipps have aged a couple years since then and might not be ready for a grueling series at their state. The Clipper players and fans are disapointed with their season. They expected to be a top 3 or better team. That disappointment very well will show up in the playoffs in how hard they play. Clippers are on the verge of rebuild, retool or tear down of some sort.

This is what I like to see. Thank you (but I never said we wouldn't make the playoffs).

Now let's stay on topic and move along boys. Others want to voice their opinions for our team too ;)

Jazz in 4. Don't think it will really happen, but just feeling like being a homer.

I think this series is gonna be super chippy. Blake, CP3 Gobert Ingles. That's gonna be interesting.
Over under on technical fouls for the series at 5.5?
