I would love to hear or read people's opinions on why the Jazz win other than being a homer. I already said why I thought they wouldn't. Please enlighten me into thinking WHY the jazz will win other then....... "Uhhh, Jazz by 6."
Here's some more on why we wont:
1. We lost to them 3-1 during the regular season.
2. We lost to them in points spread 356 to 392.
3. We aren't healthy, they are (except Rivers who will play during playoffs)
4. We have no idea what our lineup will be game day. They do.
5. The Clippers have won their last 10 out of 12 games and only lost the other 2 games by a total of 3 points.
6. Doc is legitimately a better coach as of right now.
7. We have little to no experience in the playoffs outside of the 3 people we brought in this season.

Its hard to call yourself a realist when you thought the rebuild was a mess up and we should have traded Hayward and others and started over. You also thought we would not make the playoffs. So you have been way off and much more negative in your predictions than what the facts are. We won 50 or 51 games and made the playoffs with ease despite everything going wrong health wise this season.
1. and 2. We have not faced them as healthy as we will in the playoffs. We missed a lot of games this season due to injury but had we been healthy we would have had a much better record.
3. We should be healthy for the playoffs. Every player is expected to be back and ready to play. The only one who isnt at 100% is Favors but it sounds like he will play and with no back to backs I expect him to be a big help for us.
4. Our coaches know what our lineup will be and I am guessing it is our preferred starters and the same rotations we have had when we had everyone available. Besides our depth and roster flexibility is a strength. They do not know what we will throw at them and can not prepare for that. We have many players that can play different spots and come it at different times to help us. Our depth and flexibility is way beyond theirs and much more difficult to prepare for. We know what we are facing with them. We also have years of footage to look at and know exactly the sets they will run and what players will do in the playoffs.
5. Cool, they had a healthy roster and a very very easy schedule to finish. They should have won most of those games.
6. Doc has not done anything with this squad. They have been a huge let down with him as the head coach. With Del Negro they made it to the second round of the playoffs Doc has not done any better in the 3 years since. They won 1 more regular season with him over Del Negro. Plus the team got better the next year with trades after Del Negro left. Arguably Del Negro did more with that roster. The team should have gotten better naturally with players getting better. Quin has yet to prove himself in the playoffs so I guess it is an unknown but I would not call Doc a clear cut better coach.
7. Lack of experience does not mean we wont do well. That is just an unknown. Hayward has playoff experience. Favors has playoff experience. The guys we brought in have a **** ton of playoffs experience. Dwill and Boozer era did alright with the same or less experience their first year. Clippers had little playoff experience when they brought in CP3 and they beat the 4th seed Griz that year. There are plenty of examples of teams doing well their first year in. Besides 2 of the guys we brought in have a lot of experience and Diaw has championship experience that is beyond what the Clippers have.
Our team is much more hungry and has shown that we can play at a much higher level when needed. We also have shown when healthy we are an incredibly good team this year and we will be as healthy as we have been this season which bodes well for us.
A lot of stats favor us in this matchup and we have played very well on the road this year so home court might not be much of a factor for us.
We have a big time emerging star that keeps getting better at a fast rate in Gobert. He could really take another step in the playoffs. He has another gear when needed that will show up in the playoffs. CP3 chokes a lot in playoffs and a healthy Hill and a much improved defensively Exum can slow him down. Blake has taken a step back this year. Jordan sucks at FTs and that could really bite them in a physical series. Their backup C is not a physical player. Their guys are getting older and due to a weak and aging bench their starters will have to play a lot more minutes and likely have to fight back from the lost ground when their bench is in. Their star bench player is very old and maybe he steps up but he could struggle as well with a grinding playoff series. The team most similar to the Jazz that Clips have faced in the playoffs before is the Griz and both series went to 7 games and each has won once. The Clipps have aged a couple years since then and might not be ready for a grueling series at their state. The Clipper players and fans are disapointed with their season. They expected to be a top 3 or better team. That disappointment very well will show up in the playoffs in how hard they play. Clippers are on the verge of rebuild, retool or tear down of some sort.
