Preseason Game #2 - Portland @ Utah, 12-21-11, 7pm MST

Anyone else disappointed in Hayward this preseason? I know today he had bad foul trouble, but he just seems to be trying to do to much.

Hayward for some reason takes a while to get going. Same way at Butler. His teammates said he needed to be more agressive and take more shots and make plays.

What is strange is he can do it, but he is too "Nice" out there, which does not equate to an NBA game.

I am a HUGE Hayward fan, but I am a little concerned as well.

Heck, Shelvin Mack, his teammate, 2nd round pick with the Wizards is playing a lot better.

Last year I think Hayward was intimidated by Sloan, Jazz, Williams.
This year I think He is almost overconfident as bizarre as that sounds.

Hope it works out.

Hayward is my personal favorite on the team. I think he will be fine but I agree with the "too nice" summary.

Impressed we held on. We had: 1 guy who didn't play in the NBA last year (Tinsley), 1 guy who was injured most of last year (Howard), 1 rookie (Enes), Jeremy Evans and CJ Miles.

There has been some bad calls both ways, but much more going against the jazz. Since the first quarter, they were just trying to take the game over, and were calling everything, then miss obvious and easy fouls at the same time.
