Favors with 24 pts, 17 rebs and 3 ast. He looked great!

Hayward with 19 pts, 6 ast and rebs a steal and a block.

Kanter with 13 pts, 6 rebs.

Gobert with 12 rebs and 5 blocks! Glad he is playing over Brickins.

Some great signs tonight!

Glad we signed Tinsley as our PGs suck. That spells the end of Machado. Kanter needs to play more and work on TOs and assists. Our scrubs suck so I don't think any of them see time come Wednesday or even make the team. Utah out rebounded Clippers by 14, clips had 22 more FTs, shot 38% and 28% from deep. Some great defensive signs. Too many TOs. Pleased with Jefferson.

Burks has to try to hard and that leads to dumb choices. once the full team is healthy (Evans, Burke, Rush and Williams) the talent around Burks on the second unit will be better and he won't have to try go it alone and I think his silly plays will decrease.
 
Perimeter players that make well into eight digits had better be able to do something with the ball in their hands with any kind of consistency. I am not going to be happy if those extension rumors about Hayward are true.

Kanter is going to have some ups and downs this year. Don't be worried though. He's still getting into game shape, and will be fine. This is going to be a huge
year for him developmental wise.
 
Sorry, but Hayward is the most overrated/overhyped player on the Jazz right now. Poor shooting, turnover machine, can't take over a game when the team needs him to step up. I really hope the Jazz don't jump the gun with a Hayward contract extension, let him prove that he really can lead this team this season. He hasn't shown me anything that gives me hope yet...
 
Someone please make a highlight video from this game. I'm craving seeing all the plays back to back.

Thrilled about Favors, and Gobert. Kanter and Burks will be fine. All of our players are going to through wild ups and downs this year.

Yeah the NBA.com highlights blew. Sounds like we had a bunch of nice dunks/plays in the first half quarter of the game and none were on there.
 
To be honest I count last night as a win. The Jazz out played the clippers last night. They out shot, out rebounded and out hustled them. The Jazz lost by 4 in a game where the Clips shot 22 more FTs. Jazz played a winning game and get a L for the record books and the lottery. I am fine with last nights performance. Now they need to build on that.

I agree. If they lose every single game while playing like that, I would actually enjoy it.

He's terrible, lets cut him.

Gordon is not going to be another Lebron or Kobe. But he is a seriously talented jack-of-all-trades who does a lot of things well. Match him up with a true number one and you will really have something.

No kidding. That kid can dominate the paint on D. He is very quick for such a big guy. Let's hope Ty does not pull a Sloan-Fesenko on him now and bench him for a month while mumbling something about matchups.

I really hope we don't jump the gun on the fact that he's only like 23 or 24 years old. I hope we don't jump the gun on the fact that this is the first time he's being asked to carry the team and be a leader. If he's putting up 18/5/5 in preseason now, what will he be doing by the seasons end? This is what is exciting. This is the same crap we heard after the first couple games about Favors! Now after last night his praises are being sung, and rightfully so. Hayward has lots of room for growth, and there's no doubt in my mind that he will improve and impress going forward. The return of Burke will help to relieve some of his pressure.

Just think about him next year if he is able to add some weight and muscle. For his size get him to 260, that is 25 pounds of muscle.
