Xsy, Katie MCR, (as far as I know, this is a celebration of the LGBT group as a whole) other posters who might be gay (that I don't know about), Happy Pride Day!! I hope that you all enjoy the wonderful festivities. Although the journey is not yet complete, especially in certain areas in the United States as well as Canada, its nice knowing that this day has become less of a civil-rights protest, and more of a community celebration. Cheers to you all, and lets hope keep the proverbial "wheels of social progress" rolling

Thanks dalamon. We celebrated Pride last weekend here in Utah. Pride Weekend is pretty much my favorite weekend of the year. It's always a good time. Glad the weather was good last weekend. It was sunny, clear, and hot. Just the way I like it. Nothing like the cool weather coming this weekend.

While I'm a big supporter of all this crap, I really do hate all the Pride nonsense. You want to be like everyone else? Then stop acting like you're special and just be like everyone else. Pride Day, Black History Month, Thanksgiving -- all of it, stupid.

Though I agree with this sentiment, I feel like it won't be going away anytime soon. Consequently, I'll still support their day of pride. Gordon knows the amount of BS they've had to deal with until they could've launched events like these, and not have the majority of the public frown at them (could still be a reality in many locations).
