What's new

Probably should move Kanter at this point.

I think the trade market looks different if he's packaged with Burke. Basically, it's an expiring + a good second-year player. You put one of our future picks in that deal and I think we could get something worthwhile.

I wouldn't trade Burke though. We need him right now... Dante's not close to being ready.

If we could get Harkless straight up I'm in, but he'd have to take Hood's minutes to see the floor. I have no idea why Willie Green and Ben Gordon are getting run and he's not.

Being tweener and changing all habbits as a strecth PF who used to be C, must be too difficult for Kanter, still he's gotta show someting positive to convince the organization.

Gotta sweeten the pot if you want anything of value.

Trading Burke doesn't mean that Dante's roll has to change.

I get that... I just don't think Burke is who I would use.

LOL - stopped reading here.
Casey likes to play his 5 reserves together as a unit. Vasquez and Lou create off the bounce, 2pat spreads the floor, and James Johnson and hansbrough act like total assholes for ~12 minutes. It works well.

Swapping out Patterson for kanter kills the spacing on O, and also hurts the defense, given the raps personnel.

We should have drafted Jonas Valaciunas. We should stop drafting players based on their AAU games.

Valanciunas isn't a great rim protector and he's not going to guard PFs or shoot 3s either. Kanter is a throw-back player at a time when the league wants Chandlers and stretch-4s.

Lol.
If anyone can act like an ******* it's hansbrough

Marc Gasol
Derrick Favors
Dwight Howard
Tyson Chandler
Joakhim Noah
Anderson Varejao
Chris Bosh (technically plays center)
Al Horford
Al Jefferson
Brooks Lopez
Robin Lopez
Omer Asik
Marcin Gortat
Greg Monroe (arguably a PF, but is kind of same PF/C hybrid)
Andre Drummond (Are we at 15 yet.... yup we are and this has just been the obvious ones off teh top of my head, let me dig deeper by actually looking at rosters.)

Andrew Bogut
Roy Hibbert
DeAndre Jordan
Spencer Hawes
Larry Sanders
Nikola Pecovic
Nikola Vucevic
Miles Plumlee (uggh, hurts me to say that)
DeMarcus Cousins
Tiago Splitter
Tim Duncan (he is a center guis)
Jonas Valaciunas

Waiting in the wings:
Nerlens Noel
Joel Embiid

So I would put Kanter around the 28th best center in the NBA, a starter, but only for a few select teams. Hey, OKC could use his offense, I guess.
Is there an LA guy yet? It would be fun to watch Boozer-Kanter frontcourt on defense.

Who would you use? Even though Burke doesn't look like a game-changer, he's an NBA player on a rookie-scale contract. That's valuable. Kanter has value either as an expiring or more (like a part-season audition for another contract). I think they're the youth that we can pair for a good deal without losing the core of what we are trying to accomplish.

I'd rather include the 2017 warriors pick or a crap ton of 2nds if we needed sweetners. I agree Burke has real value... I wouldn't see Burke as the sweetner in the Kanter deal, rather Kanter the sweetner in the Burke deal.

It all depends on what you could get. I would probably wait until the offseason to trade Burke if we know Neto is coming over and Exum has showed us something.

I'd rather just trade Kanter for not much than add Burke I guess... but again it depends on what you could get.

I do get where you are coming from though... if Exum is good then Burke is expendable and has good trade value. I think Burke will still have value this offseason though and the timing would be better.

I feel bad for Kanter. Seems he has gotten a raw deal, and I have been rooting for him. But when he gets faked completely out of his jock by a simple head fake like the one Dirk gave him, and offers listen resistance at the rim -- use your strength to hammer people and prevent them from making easy shots at the rim -- and constantly is getting his shot blocked under the basket, and continues to fail to rotate fast enough on D, what can you say. Sorry, Enes, you just haven't got what it takes to be a star in this league.

here is how I see it as far as kanter trades would go

Portland - could get say Thomas Robinson and Meyers Leonard for him. he would be a great asset off the bench for them. hate to trade him there though

Sacramento - not sure how he would fit with cousins but mclemore would be an interesting piece. kanter is better then Thompson and Landry.

golden st - I would consider a deal that included Barnes.

lakers they would want him but really have nothing they would trade we would want. might consider a kanter and a pick for randle. he is broken right now

clippers - not happening

Phoenix - don't see this happening

Denver - we would have to take McGee and chandler off their hands

t-wolves - actually might make sense. they have a ton of wings they would move and they could use a 4. budinger and shabazz or something.

Dallas - don't see it

Houston - don't see it

San Antonio - don't see it

pelicans - I am sure we could get rivers. lol

Memphis - not happening

okc - they could use him but not much they would give up we want.

Milwaukee - could use him but they want to dump sanders. possailities here I think Henson and kanter could work well.

Detroit - kanter for Monroe would work with other options

Indiana - maybe because kanter is probably better then Scola now. Hibbert can cover a lot of kanters weaknesses.

Chicago - not seeing anything here

Cleveland - could really use him wonder if we could pry Tristan Thompson away with a pick.

hawks - not sure with the horford ideas came from. why would they give him up?

Orlando - the mo harkless idea was a great idea.

Miami - have nothing any more

Washington - could use him with nenes injury history. can we say Otto porter.

new York - not happening

Brooklyn - not happening

Boston - don't see it to similar to Sullinger.

Toronto - could use him but do we really want Landry fields

Philly - doesn't need him

hornets - not sure why they would trade zeller or vonleh for kanter?

Let me fix that
