That was a nice shot. That guy has practiced with those rubber bullets.

I honestly think it's probably more like nine than 1000s. Police have almost no true accountability (complaints are routinely dismssed, testimony is considered accurate until proven otherwise). That much power corrupts.

Check out https://www.theagitator.com/ on a regular basis.

Oh BS One Brow, and I expect just a tad bit more credit from you then that as more often then not you are level-headed. Police reports are reviewed by a litany of supervisors and civilians alike. Most departments have an Internal Affiairs procedure set up specifically for accountability, which I can assure you, if a complaint is filed it is on the books unless proven discredited...and even if it is discredited the IA is still on your record. Real life is a great deal different then The Shield or any other random TV cop show. Aside from the Agitator (which after visiting their website had an obvious bias) where are you getting your opinions from?

Nine? Really? Good Police work doesn't sell papers.

Disagree. A good cop is featured in this because he exposed corruption in the nypd.

Boondocksaint27,

"Nine" is hyperbolic. I apologize for offending you.

However, I see no reason that every act of misconduct would result in a civilian complaint. I've seen plenty of DWB in my time, and unless things get really out of hand, no one bothers to complain.

Second, while I realize no one wants a mark on their record, that mark doesn't really mean much to a person who was tasered inappropriately,. or had their house busted in by a SWAT team based on an informant's tip.

I fully acknowledge the policework is hard, and the vast majority of police are well-intentioned and intent on doing the job well. I do not feel that contradicts what I said earlier.

The next lovely gem from the Oakland PD.This guy gets shot with a rubber bullet because he was videotaping.

I think the cops are innocent. Pretty sure there is a shadowy figure on the grassy knoll.
