Question about Mo for squareinthecircle and anyone else who may have watched the game?

How did Mo look running the offense? I was looking at the stats, and they looked good for only playing 22 minutes except for the 4 turnovers, but that might be due to this being his first preseason game and in this offense, but 11 points 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Those aren't bad numbers.

Would like to hear some thoughts to how he looked as our pg.

Especially considering that the team shot under 40% and he only played for 22 minutes.

I was at the game and I thought he looked pretty terrible. There was a lot of miscommunication in the first quarter. He took some rushed shots that went in early, but didn't do much after that. The third quarter was better, but still wasn't much different then Devin.

My impression is that he looks fairly good all things considered. Mo looked to actively run the offense. He likes to penetrate and look for the pass, he just needs to make better decisions. He tried to thread the needle a bit in the game with the Warriors. He was quick and active and made his presence known, he didn't just blend in like Devin Harris did sometimes. Also though his fg% was low in that game Mo seems to be more of a threat from long range and demands attention from the defense. After seeing him in this game I believe he is an improvement at the starting 1 spot. I'm excited to have him on the team now.

Most interesting to me is how Lunatic and Square saw the same game and came away with different views.

Actually reading what he said I think we saw the same thing, I just think there's more hope for Mo. Like I said Mo made some bad decisions and didn't shoot well, but he was trying to do some things and had a bit more pep to his step.

I think it is going to take more than one pre-season game to make a real analysis on what this team or player is? I like Mo for his toughness but I have my doubts he can be a pure PG. I was a huge fan of his when he was a rookie and feel he is a better player but I still am not convinced he is a starting PG for a championship team (not saying the Jazz are there yet).

I hope I am wrong about Mo but I still believe he is an upgrade to Harris.

I believe he is an upgrade for the Jazz. He fits the needs of the Jazz team better. He stretches the floor better than Harris. SHows more passions and will provide better leadership.

Ignore the debate on who is the better player. The debate should be who is better for the Jazz as a team. The answer to that is clearly Williams in my eyes.
