How does a coach keep trotting out the same lineup that just doesn't work?

Is Snyder the ONLY one who doesn't see Rubio, Favors and Gobert doesn't work? I was excited a couple of games ago to hear Hood was finally starting. And then I see he substituted Hood for Ingles instead of moving Bricky to the bench.

I'm quickly souring on Snyder. The defense sucks, the offense is easy to guard. Sure, some players have developed under his coaching, but some have not. I'm not sure his success rate is much different than any number of other coaches.
 
Snyder is in on the tank. They want one more high pick before they blow it all up and completely restructure this roster around Rudy/Donovan/Rookie.

Or maybe Quin is the Tank Commander? If the rumor is true about some friction between Dennis and the coaching staff, we all assumed it's because Quin wants to win now and DL wants to tank. But Quin's rotation contradicts that assumption. Seriously, ANY OTHER COACH in the NBA would NOT play Bricky, Derrick and Rudy together. Albert Einstein famously said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. By that definition, Quin is insane.
 
Bit of dissonance between the thread title and the perfectly reasonable content of the post. I'm also over the Ricky/Favs/Rudy thing. If he's doing it to protect egos, then it's time to stop.
 
I will go one further. Both he and Lindsey should be fired. They both suck. All we ever get is excuses from both of them. Rubio is the dumbest pick up I have ever seen from an nba executive. I hated the move. Rubio is complete ****! Quinn and Lindsey can go F each other. They both suck

I think Snyder is the opposite of Kidd as a coach. Kidd sucked as X and Os and had a bad scheme. But his teams played hard. Snyder is one of the best at X and Os but he does struggle to keep the guys playing hard. He had them playing hard to start even when we werent winning or shooting well. Then we got hot and kept playing hard. Now the combination of injuries, losses, and trade rumors is causing this team to not play hard all the time. A lot of that is on Snyder but he also doesnt have a roster built to win.

People are mad he is playing Rubio but he doesnt have another real option. Exum and Hood are out. Favors and Gobert are by far his best bigs so they have to get playing time to be good.

There is a lot going on with our struggles. There isnt one thing, player, FO, or coach to blame. Its a whole bunch of things.
 
Wasn't Quins fault. You had an entire roster of players who didn't show up, didn't get up, and didn't care about tonight's game, tonight, that even included Donovan. Royce O' Neil had some energy tonight when he was in, and he's the only one I even noticed with a little want tonight. Lackluster, terrible effort tonight by the players on this team. It was reminiscent of games that derailed the team with D-Will that ended in a train wreck. It was the worst basketball game I've seen by a team this season, and the entire game was hard to watch. 50 point loss to almost any other team in the league tonight. You don't get 26 down to the worst team in the league unless you just absolutely check out, and that's what this team did tonight. Quin can only do so much, he is working with guys who can't shoot 8 nights out of 10. This was unacceptable by this team from top to bottom. Part of it is likely because a lot of guys know they probably won't be here next year, and some may be gone within the next 2 weeks. There's a lot of uncertainty and its showing by terrible performances like tonight. Just terrible.

I liked this cuz of the Lindsey part. Getting rid of Quinn would be silly, there would be many suitors...
 
He is one of the most respected coaches in the NBA. Sure, you must know more than GMs, players, coaches, agents, etc

He is not a magician. This roster is deeply flawed. And above that, has been plagued by injuries to key players. DL's gamble of going all-defense this season failed. Time to move on. Luckily most of the players are on team-friendly contracts so the roster will look completely different after the season (or even in a couple of weeks).

Also, it's hard to ask players to give 100% effort with all the uncertainty/trade rumors going around. This season is lost but DM & Rudy gives us hope for the future

This^, Rudy is the most important guy on the team still, but hes got to get better at handling passes, and DM needs to learn to send him some softer passes as well. Rudy is good, but he's not elegant by any means. DM sends some hard passes, which is fine, but when your a couple feet away from Rudy under the basket it's unnecessary to bullet it to him. The defense was atrocious tonight by everyone except Rudy and he can only cover up so much bad defense by the other guys. After the trade deadline guys will have more certainty they will be here, but there's still plenty of uncertainty and guys like JJ knowing they won't be here next season. The only thing that should be worked on at this point is Rudy and DM. Get them playing better together and learning each other. At this point its really all I can hope for.
