What's new

Quin must go

Why Quin never gave a chance to Tyrone Wallace? He is a starter with the Clippers and he is playing very well.

He didn't believe in Lyles either.

I don't want the Jazz to trade Hood and he becomes an All-Star with another team.
Lyles was given plenty of chances and just didn't play well. But he was flipped for Mitchell. Can't argue with that.

As for Wallace, he needed to knock another player off the roster. Sometimes players develop, sometimes they don't. Good for Wallace. As a reminder, he was initially waived by the Clippers after training camp. Jazz didn't have a roster spot for Wallace last year. Was he going to make the team ahead of Hill, Exum, Mack or even Neto? Not based upon what he had shown up to that point. Jazz took a chance with O'Neale this season over some others. He's making DL look pretty smart with his play.

This right here should disqualify from any serious discussions about any sports team.
Lol. Im also a life long supporter of the Hawthorn FC so Ive seen my share of empires and dynastys.

But please. Fill me in on all of the teams you support.

Snyder's warts as a Coach are showing.....the great developer of young talent and who's on the trading block....Favors ,Hood ,Burks, the Jazz young vets all of them playing the last 3 yrs under Snyder. Chances are as soon as their moved they will flourish after getting away from Snyder's coaching.
Hayward bailed out on Snyder ...didn't like Snyder?

How long do we have to watch Snyder put round pegs in a square hole .....that's his offense.

Holy ****, this thread is cancer! The amount of BS in here is staggering. Quin didn't give Lyles a chance? Seriously? Lyles was playing more for the Jazz last year at the same time than he is playing now and we needed him to play well and he pooped the bed. Hayward didn't like Snyder? WOW, just wow!

The problem is not with Quin's system. It's with the personnel and its fit with the system and with the other players.

yeah I mean, I'm surprised we have any wins this season with gobert being out and having rubio shooting like absolute ***.

We actually get TONS of clean open looks, but our players just can't put them down. Think we lead the league in open FGA

An opinion measurement from an opinionated coach tells us nothing. Ask another coach about who has the better offenses and they'll come up with different reasons. Cleveland can't ever have an excellent offense based on this guy's 3 measurements because they have LeBron James and don't need to do what this guy prefers. Their offense is better without much of it thanks to James' ability to collapse a defense and hit the open man.

SMH......simpleton......if only every coach in the NBA can choose the players to "fit their system".
The problem is Snyder can't adjust his system to play to his players talents which a lot of fans are now seeing.
Now the Jazz are hitting the reset button and Jazz are looking at mediocrity continuing. A free pass for Snyder as all the players that were neophytes under him are now on the trading block.

Hey it's not like I've been saying since pre-season that Quin needs to change his offense and give the ball in Rubio's hands if he wants to maximize his abilities or else it will be a disaster. It's not like I've been harping on since preseason that trying to make Rubio play like George Hill is a mistake. But it's much easier to see everything as black and white I guess. You need to be either "Fire Quin, cuz he's trash" or "Quin is the best coach ever"... he has his warts and I don't like how he's handled Rubio this year and some of his rotations, but lets not pretend like he's been given an easy job with this year's roster. This is a horrible mashup of pieces that he needs to play together that don't fit, not only in this system but in any system really. This year is much more on DL than it is on Quin.
