Quin needs to make a change

At this point there's really no rhyme or reason not to start Trey and Alec from here on out. This season the best 5 players has been (in no order) Gobert, Favors, Hayward, Burks, and Burke. What's so difficult about making this your starting line up. Start Burks and Burke with Booker until Gobert is back. Play them the majority of the mins. Sometime the best course of action really is simple.

I think quin might over-thinking things.

I think he is trying to get scoring off the bench. So he brings Trey Burke and Alec off the bench.

He wants spacing with the starters. So he starts hood.

He wants a guy that is unselfish and not going to shoot to much so his two main guys will get more shots. So he starts neto

He doesn't want to mess with the rotations too much simply because a player gets injured. So he continues to bring booker off the bench and starts lyles.

I think he needs to just keep it simple. Start the best players. Play them the most minutes.

Start trey, burks, hayward, booker, and favors. Play them each 30+ minutes. Maybe we will keep up with other teams starters that way.
Maybe neto, lyles, and hood will be more successful going against backups. I dont think neto and lyles, as below average rookies in the first place, are ready to go up against starting caliber nba players. Seems like they are being set up to fail.

As with any coach and season, I think we need to give Quin some latitude to figure out rotations on the fly. We aren't that many games into this and it's a bad idea to throw noodles at the wall every other night to see what sticks (on that night).

This rotation was solid on paper at the beginning of the season. I think most wanted this sort of rotation. Hood has been a major disapointment, Burke has over achieved, Gobert got injured, Ingles has been Big Joe, Booker has been even more up n down...

Quin is thinking over and overthinking things as every NBA head coach should. He also realizes abrupt changes do no good.

I think you have a point though, and I think he will adjust in time.

I agree with everything except for Booker being up and down. The man had around 3 good games all season. So he's been up and down.

I had to come up with some filler. No reason to trash on Neto or Pleiss.

I agree, especially about Neto. He's going against the NBA's best night in and night out, and he's a rookie. Cut him some slack. He needs time to develop. Remember, even Stockton didn't start for his first two years, and I also remember Nash was pretty raw his early years.
