What's new

Quin Snyder is the new coach

I trust DL on this one, whether it works out or not I'm convinced he picked the best guy for the job given the information he has now.

ok, so folks who saw Snyder coached teams what is his signature coaching style? What is he good at? What kind of game and style he prefers? How do you see Jazz play, personnel changing under him?

Great questions. . .

And I have one to add. . . Will he increase the offensive tempo?

I've been hoping for a coach who will use the athleticism this team has combined with the altitude to give them a huge advantage over everyone who comes to SLC. Is this guy going to be that kind of coach?

Snyder is def the stand out if that group of 4... He seems crazy smart!!!

I like the hire!!

Not a specialist along the moulds of Thibs, I don't think. But that doesn't matter to me. Quinn is a smart dude, and I'm sure he's savvy enough to hire an assistant who can bring defensive systems to this team if he lacks the knowledge himself. I love hearing about his willingness to bring Messina over ASAP. Scared the Lakers might snag him away from us.

Link?

I'm hoping he makes a good choice to be his assistant whoever it is I'm sure itll be a better hire than the "Tax Man" Sydney Lowe

I will say this, I had zero interest in watching more Corbin coached Jazz. So, I'm excited to see new blood. And if it's a PnR brand of ball so much the better.

I'm hoping for a better transition game and lots of ball movement. It seems like the Jazz already have a couple of guys who should play well in a P&R offense. It won't be Stockton to Malone, but it hopefully will be MILES better than Alfense/Hayfense.

He's a P&R guy.

Ok, so what does it mean for us? Favors seems like best P&R finisher we have, so doubt we will pack him for higher pick. Any P&R specialists in draft? Is Randle or Vonleh good at it? Can Smart run it well?
