Quin Synder for COTY?

After watching the Jazz this year, seeing them lose their best player, having lineup and inconsistency issues and now putting together a pretty descent sample size of 10 wins-in-a-row, do you think Synder is in discussion for COTY at this point in the season?

To me, it's crazy exciting seeing the Jazz gel together and play so cohesively after going through so much - especially doubt. Quin deserves more credit imo. You hear talks for Mitchell being ROY, but rarely anything about how well they are coached.

Here's to Siberia and its role in bringing Synder to Utah.

He'll definitely be in the discussion.

If I remember correctly, Spoelstra was a top candidate for the award last year after the Heat exploded down the stretch. The Jazz might be on a similar run. If the Jazz can 1) make the playoffs, again and 2) do so on the heels of losing their "best player," those are two additional feathers in Quin's cap that Spo didn't have.

I think Snyder deserved more consideration last year than this year. We had so many injuries and still won so many games.

I think he will get more recognition this year when we are in the playoffs due to losing what many perceived as our best player and still being just as good.

Snyder will have a good shot at it if our team gets into the playoffs. If we somehow miraculosly get into the 3rd or 4th seed that might lock it down for him.

May be if Toronto falls off a bit and we make the 6th seed. I don't think there are any other coaches that are in the discussion.

McMillan has to be in the discussion as well, but yeah Casey is a lock if they continue their trajectory.

Just saw a segment on ESPN that talked about COTY. They (Pippin, Nichols, and Elhassan) said the front runner was, by far, Dwane Casey. They said Brad Stevens was probably in second, but there was no mention of Synder. While I agree Casey should be the front runner, I definitely think Snyder should at least be considered. He's made a lot of adjustments this year that show his brilliance. I wonder how many more wins we'd have with Snyder and this lineup than we would if we had Corbin or someone else.
