In the last game Mitchell was off (2-10), but Conley, BB, and O'Neale shot 13-20 (65%), and almost all games it's like that 2-4 of those guys have a bad night, and the other shooters are hot.
I agree that Gobert and the Utah PnR is exposing JV, and he shouldn't be allowed to play so many minutes with the limitations he has on D. In another series against another team, JV could be dominant. It's just a bad matchup for him against Utah. No shame in making an adjustment to say JV could run with the second unit and allow JJJ and X to try and show better on the guards in the PnR action.
On Saturday, Josh Tiven became the 2nd official in the last six years to call at least 10 fouls on one team while not calling a single foul against the other
Key to this game will be JV. If we look at the stats at the end of the game and JV has something like 20 and 15 then we will win. If we're not able to get him going, we'll lose. I predict a win and a big game from JV tonight.
I expect a big game from everybody, something says to me this game will decide the series, for good or bad. This game 4 will be the key point when we look back and this series is over.

Touch fouls for 3 point shooters are called, but in the lane a significant amount of contact is allowed. I'm not talking about the asinine ways offensive players jump into defenders who have to jump up and take it, but the fact JV (or even Rudy Goebert) get a ton of body contact on shots that isn't called, but a grazing on the leg or arm is called because it impacts the shot.
The only officiating that really matters is if they’ll call Gobert for setting a moving screen every time he sets a screen. That’s the reason they are so open on all these shots.

JJJ's defense has been great so far, breaking up alot of Jazz drives and contesting shots at the rim well. He's much better on the PnR than JV.

Conley just split our defenders so easily when JV came up and hedged. And that’s why JV always drops back on the pick and roll.
Jaren has a high center of gravity and is too top heavy, I don't see him ever getting smooth on the court.
The Jazz are up at the half precisely because they put JV in the High pick and roll action at the end of the 2nd qtr and hit 3's because of it. It is almost suicide to keep allowing JV to be put in the PnR action. Also, no way should GA be guarding Mitchell. Let bane or Melton do it when Brooks sits out.
I beleive it's more dificult to do it than say it. Utah shoot 19 3 pointers ( with 52.6% ), Mitchell take only 5,...that's all the problem we have with this team. They have 6 3 point shooters where we have one at the best 2. Even if we guard Mitchell well, they have plenty of others options. But we not far behind, we can do it !! go Grizzz!!!
