Biggest game of the year remaining on the schedule other than OKC(which could influence the MVP race). If the Rockets win this, they clinch the season series with the Jazz, go up effectively 6 games in the loss column thanks to the tiebreaker with only 17 games remaining, and pretty much lock up the 3rd seed.
The Jazz and their fans are secretly, quietly plotting to destroy us. They are drooling at the fantasy of claiming 3rd seed from us, and this game is key to working towards that, and possibly winning the season series. Despite some injuries and some fatigue, they've won 6 of 8. They believe we are over confident and overrated. Our own inverse homers will no doubt also be secretly cheering them on.
Now, get rid of your anger and your hatred for a couple of days, and send your purest and most positive energy to the Rockets players. If you are an old school Rocket fan, you relish the opportunity to defeat the Jazz. This one would be especially fun, knowing they are secretly giggling in some cave somewhere about how this "win" will be so sweet. I don't know what they do in salt lake city, but it's gotta be something to do with caves. I'm sure it's caves. Jazz fans in caves. It just makes sense.
Im keeping my eye on ingles tonight. Deadly shooter and his defensive stats stand out. Wonder if he is someone under the radar we can snag this offseason since he is a free agent looking for his first real contract.

Utah can cause a lot of problems with the Rockets. They like to slow down the pace and overplay the 3 to funnel guys into Rudy much like Miami has with Whiteside. Rebounding is going to be a problem this game if people don't show up and be ready to work on that end. This is a key game for the Rockets, lose this and they have a realistic chance at falling out of 3. There's only 17 games left, these are playoff games now, winning these are key to prepare for the post season.

Utah's length seems to give us a lot of problems*. They have long perimeter defenders who can switch easily and if you beat them they have the shot blocking Gobert waiting to stop you. Sometimes they play you close at the 3 point line and funnel you towards Gobert. Would rather face Memphis

Utah just is a bad matchup, that beast in the middle they are the reason I wanted DMo so he could be at the 3pt line and keep Gobert out of the paint. He is going to camp all game in there and make us beat them over the top which is not going to happen it seems.

They are better coached than we are.....they run an offensive system, get good shots, and are built for playoff basketball. We are built to be a different kind of matchup in the regular season giving us a great advantage but over a 7 game series we will be EASY to guard because we are a one trick pony.

It's easy to say, but you have to face it that this is the way this team is built. They missed a lot of free throws, a lot of threes and Gobert really does make a difference in the paint which is our other strength. Sucks losing this game but the Jazz executed perfectly and slowed down the tempo the whole game. I really don't think we have any players on that bench that would have made a difference.*

Harden broke his own record for turnovers in a season. Everyone thought that James Harden’s turnover record would last forever given that the last turnover record lasted nearly 40 years once set but Harden has what it takes to completely shatter even his own turnover record. Will he be able to turn the ball over even more next season? One thing is for sure, Harden will absolutely go down as the turnover king all time. We’ll never see this level of turning the ball over ever again after Harden is done.
Alright, what the f*** are we doing on defense? This jazz team should not be scoring 60+ points on anyone in the first half. They get a favorable mismatch every possession, and even if they miss the shot we're left with a guard trying to block out a center.

Harden is the most overrated player in the league. When your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd options are throwing your arms into people for calls, you're not an MVP. You're not even a man.
Jazz are pretty close to taking the 3 seed from us if we keep playing like this and I believe we have some rough games coming up. It's not like it's some crazy opinion to have. Not to mention the bias the media has against Harden.
13-12 in the last 25. Utah came here without 2 starters and outworked the Rockets who weren't prepared on the defensive end. This was the biggest game of the year, win and they get the tie breaker up 6 games on Utah, lose and lose the tie breaker and up 3 games. It was pretty clear Utah valued that 3 seed more than the Rockets do and probably deserve it with the way they've been playing. Defense just isn't there consistently; Rockets aren't scaring anyone in the playoffs with just offense.
To be honest I'm not fully convinced that we can take the Jazz in a 7 game series.
