Still confused about why the starters rested in Portland. Nugs needed to win two of their last three games to hold the second seed, and the two winnable games were at Portland and against the ‘Wolves tomorrow. They’ve struggled hard against the Jazz this season, so if there was a game to rest the starters, shouldn’t it have been tonight?

Jokic didnt show up. I think the rest turned to a little rust. Barton played like crap. Murray, Harris, Morris, Beasley all showed up. But that wasn't enough. The starters didnt play well tonight. Bench kept us in it.
Denver needs to play full go tomorrow night regardless of what's to play for. You cannot go into the playoffs with this game being the last real playing time for the starters.
Now that we’ve handed the #2 seed over, why did Jokic, Murray and Millsap sit out last game? I mean to be at least #2 (even #1 at times) all season only to pull that move against Portland and concede it (for all intents and purpose) at the end of the season with no good explanation from Malone is frustrating. He needs to be accountable for that bonehead move. And yes that’s what it was. Nothing but love for Malone up until that moment. If feels like such a wasted opportunity. Now if we want to get to the finals we have to beat Houston and Golden State without home court advantage.
Mitchell's athleticism is killing Denver
It doesn’t seem like anyone on Denver can stay with him tonight. He has taken over this game and right now the Nuggets don’t have an answer for him. He has got attitude and is pretty fearless. Refs like this style of player in the league. Letting him get what he wants. Nuggets need to get tougher next year. That should be first on Connelly’s to do list. The Portland give away is looking like a mistake right now.

Usually, if Jokic struggles against somebody, he adjusts his approach and dominates the following game. There are players he struggles to contain (mostly Capella) but nobody that shuts him down offensively. That includes Adams and Embid.
Hope we do not have to play Houston or Utah in the playoffs or we're screwed.

Wasnt Harden level foul drawing, because he was looking to score. Best player tonight by far.
