I debated saying anything here, but I spent many great years posting on JazzHoops years and years ago (and yes, a zombie version of it has been hanging around mainly as a venue for Redneck's entertaining, but purely made up insider rumors) but it appears the site is finally down for good. It was inevitable but I am still sad to see it go.

I just wanted to acknowledge publicly somewhere where it might be seen that I miss those salad days, spending hours on that site. So thank you to Notty, Paterooski, FastBrass, Yell 42, Hawaiian Jazz Fan, WeberJazz, Deringer, Jazz Kitty, Soy Sebazz, Echo, Suzy Q, Fido, VinylJunkie, and all the others I forgetting at the moment.

Long live the JazzHoops house, even though nobody ever figured out what it did.

ETA I’m also surprised we never saw Yell42 show up here during the heyday of Ingles and Exum Aussie years.
