Well to eliminate the area of interest; first question is do you listen to radio? And if you do, what stations do you prefer? I was addicted to an internet broadcast of a station called Radio Swing Worldwide which plays the music type that I love, but it sometimes have difficulties playing. So I thought I would need some alternatives. Which stations would you suggest to me for listening to 1920's & 1930's music?

I listen to sports talk radio most of the time.
Some rap hip hop
A little top 40/pop

NPR most of the time.

When listening to music, I usually go for the music of my teenage years. Everyone knows that the music which was popular when they were teenagers is objectively the best music.

Honest ?
What is NPR and what does it stand for?

Have you taken a vow to never use any internet service except for JF?
Still no comprende
way over my head

I pretty much only use the internet for jazzfanz

I've had Satellite Radio for about a year, which I'd swore I'd never get but my payment comes out to about 4 bucks a month so what the hell.

All NPR all the way.

Sometimes I try to listen to music and then a commercial comes on and I switch back to commercial free NPR.

Locally it is on 90.1 and 88.3

I know righties consider it a left-leaning entity but in my opinion is is BY FAR the least biased source for news and information.

Plus there are some really great shows like "This American Life," "Radio Lab," "Science Friday," "The Moth," and others.

I listen to NPR for everything but the news. I don't like listening to or watching the news.

Try to forget your diabetes and seizure medicine next time to make sure you fall all the way asleep.

Science Friday is fantastic, my favorite radio show of them all.

That ain't saying much, but I do love their "This I believe" series.
