Raja Bell: "We consistently do dumb ****"

Not sure how this is going to work when opposing teams go under every screen and leave perimeter options wide open to help. Burks needs to get some run with Al/Sap when Hayward isn't getting it done. The perimeter players must put more pressure on opposing defenses to keep them honest. Raja should never be the best guard/wing on the team.

beat me to it.

Karl Malone was never surrounded by such an inept 3-pt shooting team.

Also, SlowAl will always be slow. His stock is reasonably high right now, so it's time to ship him out. Get a shooter, por favor

Bell is pretty spot on.

For a guy I bitched about early in the season I'm liking him on the team now. He's hitting shots, playing good defense, and seems to be a leader.

To be honest, I'm not at all surprised by the way things are playing out. I'll admit, after the road win against Denver, I was sipping the punch cautiously, but the loss to Toronto pretty much confirmed what I've believed since the beginning of the season.

I would agree that Favors, Kanter and Burks all need to be playing more, but more importantly, Utah should be looking to get trade value out of several players. To me, that means potential trade chips have to continue to get playing time. I've said all along that if Utah wasn't in the playoff hunt by March, they should look to move Al. I wouldn't at all be surprised to this happen, with CJ/Howard/Harris possibly involved as well.

Al seems like a really good dude, so part of me really wanted to see him shed that losing team label this year, but I didn't really believe it would happen. At this point, the last thing I want to see is for this team to win just enough games, that KOC stays the course to try and sneak into an 8th seed. If that happens, we may be watching re-runs for the next several years. I'd rather bite the bullet this year, and look to make a big jump sometime in the next year or two.

I just can't help but feel like he's talking about Harris in these quotes...like here:

"Lack of effort and intensity: Yeah. Look, man. I can't speak for anyone [else's effort]. I can't. I just can't. That's not my place. I don't know if one person thinks they're giving more effort than they are or they're not. I don't know. But I come out to play hard every game and I don't know any other way to do it. But if that's what you guys are seeing, then maybe there's something to that. "

I don't think Harris has ever wanted to play here.... He's never really looked good. I want to say he's just in the wrong system.... But I think it might go back to the whole culture/life thing. He might just want bigger markets and a more exciting nightlife.

Agree with you.

Just trade him or sit him on the bench. Give him only garbage time if he is so smart. Find the right guys who want to play.

Actually I don't blame Harris for his game or his wishes. I blame the organization for not doing anything with that.

...frankly, never thought of Harris as being a true hip-hopper!

These are my thoughts...

Harris wants to do well but he tries to hard on offense and when he misses a shot it is all over for him. His body language changes and his confidence stinks. If I could get him to do one thing right now would be go back to your roots and become a great defender from there every thing will work out. But he sucks as a defender right now.

Big slow al his is tough because there are some fundamental problems with his game. But one thing would be to just get him to pass the ball out of the post. Only let him shoot if he can dunk it. Players defending him don't have to play the passing lanes. The can play him straight up. Pass the fn ball to cutters will make scoring in the post a lot easier.

Millsap love the guy but he is not a dump down low post player. He is great in the flex where he can come off the curl and take the ball right to the basket. He needs to get the ball in the high post get a screen and take it to the basket or pull up for a jumper. I also agree he seems to be sulking. Again go to fundamentals and move with out the ball in your hands and start scoring an offensive rebounds and out backs. Great way to get your confidence.

Miles he should have a rule that he can't chuck up a shot until he has made a driving basket and an assist. Then he will be aloud to chuck up a shot. Then it starts over. He is very good when he is attacking the rim.

Howard all I can say is the the hell. You were so good then not what happened? Trade him for a second rounder now.

Burks, kanter favors need more time on the court. Kanter might just be the best man on man low post defender we have. The guy has a great bb iq.

Give time to tinsley.
