Rank the Jazz players for this season

I have a very simple game for everyone to play: We rank the Jazz top 15 players in terms of how we think they'll impact the team for the whole season. Then we can look back on this thread at the end of the season and see which poster was closest. I'll start.

1. Gordon Hayward
2. Derrick Favors
3. Alec Burks
4. Rudy Gobert
5. Rodney Hood
6. Trey Burke
7. Trevor Booker
8. Trey Lyles
9. Bryce Cotton
10. Elijah Millsap
11. Jack Cooley
12. Joe Ingles
13. Raul Neto
14. Tibor Pleiss
15. Jeff Withey

Notes: Exum was excluded because I think they say he's out the whole season. Even though Rudy Gobert is my favorite player on the Jazz I think that Hayward, Favors, Burks should all be even better this season. Gobert is so important to the Jazz defensively and also getting offensive boards but I still don't see him becoming a scoring threat for another year or two. Finally, I think Trey Lyles has a chance to finish even higher than Burke and Booker but I am trying not to set unrealistic expectations.

I know Hood was hurt a lot early last year and that's why he didn't really come on until the end of the season but I think Lyles may be similar but hopefully without the injuries. I can see him starting slow trying to figure it all out then being really good by February and March --- Just in time for the playoff push!

I really like your list. I think we really should only tank the top 8 or 9 since the rest won't matter much unless there is injury.

Damn it Cy! I was making my list then read yours. My list matched your for all of the top 8. So lets just say I completely agree with your list as after the top 8 I don't think they matter much.

I'd move Cotton up and Millsap down though.

Same top 5 as me

Nice (and a bit surprising) to see almost everyone put Burks ahead of Hood. Not that it means much though, the top 5 are pretty close.

I bet most people have it grouped like this: Hayward, favors, rudy in some order in a group (the top guys or core)

Burks, hood in some order in the next tier

Burke, booker, ingles for the next tier.

And then the rest.

(I have alec in the first tier with our Big three..... Making it a Big 4)

Damn we need a pg.

Pretty good list, Cy. However, I don't think Johnson makes the team as I believe Exum takes up a roster spot, despite his injury. I might put Burke at #6 because he'll still fire away no matter what. I'm just hoping he'll improve his accuracy. Also like your bold prediction of Hood over Burks. I'm leaning that way, too. I like Alec, but Rodney was pretty impressive down the stretch. I could even see him becoming Utah's top scorer in a couple of seasons.

Oh ****, I completely forgot about Exum.

I guess take off Withey and put Exum at 15 since he wont play at all this year.
