Rank your cartoons

As someone who spent time in West Texas, I love King of the Hill. Life in that show is pretty close to the real thing, and yes I've met people that you can't understand a word they say. LOL...

How about that old Mario bros cartoon that used to run Mon through thurs, and on Friday they would show Zelda. Another cartoon I watched as a kid was, I forget the name.... It was something like Mutant league or Mutant Sport, something like that where there were a bunch of football players that got turned into mutants, so they make their own league. They play all kinds of sports wrestling football basketball hockey and others very violent

What, someone has me in their sig?

I always wished that Bloom County had been made into a live action cartoon.
I still miss it, and pull out my Billy and the Boingers book once in a while.

Making Fiends

I've never watched cartoons. Real people are funny enough.

So what's this "Making Fiends"????

Nobody said anything about Being There, the masterpiece of Americana that has inspired political rhetoric and campaign science since the sixties. Funnier than all the parodies of reality mentioned in here, combined. Mitt might as well be Chance, for all he knows. Obama knows nothing at all except what's on the teleprompter.

The verdict is in. Reality is funnier than art.

As a die-hard, long time fan of Bloom County, I have to say that I am glad it never became an animated feature. I don't think animation could even come close to conveying the brilliant nuances of that strip, and I would probably be disappointed in the vocal casting.

If I'm going all time:

1. Ninja Turtles
2. GI Joe
3. Ducktales

Currently:

1. Phineas and Ferb
2. Looney Tunes
3. Spongebob

I don't count Family Guy or the Simpsons as true cartoons, just because they are geared more towards adults. Or at least the Simpsons was during the "classic" seasons (2-10, after that it just got stupid). Unfortunately, for me, the Simpsons jumped the shark a long, long time ago...but during it's heyday it was the best written show on television.

Yes, Ninja Turtles was one of my favorites when I was really young. I use to have all the action figures when I was a kid and I always had battles with them against dinosaurs.

Cartoons I like (in no particular order and, yes, some of them are old. Deal with it.)

Rocky and Bullwinkle
Looney Tunes (the originals, not those currently being made...)
G-Force
Spongebob
Regular Show
American Dad - primarily because the alien talks like Paul Lynde

Agree pretty much from start to finish.

That's a good point.
I never did like what they did with Garfield

Ummm... why has no one in this thread posted anything about the BEST CARTOON EVER?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo0D6bzxLLw

Oh, and I gotta nominate Bucky O'Hare. Because any cartoon show about a crew of anthropomorphic mammals that flies around in a spaceship called the Righteous Indignation and tells jokes about Woodstock and Dan Quayle is awesome.

When I was 2-7
1. Care Bears
2. Rainbow bright
3. Smurfs

When I was 8-20
1. Ninja Turtles
2. Ren and Stimpy
3. Doug

What I enjoy watching with my kids
1. Phineas and Ferb ( crazy how good this cartoon is)
2. Sponge Bob
2. Yo gabba gabba ( not techniquley a cartoon)

Power puff girls were cool!!

Tailspin
Ducktails
Rescuer rangers
Notable mentions!!

Bugs Bunny
Flintstones
Smurfs
Fraggle rock(not a cartoon but close enough)
Jetsons
Tom and Jerry
Roadrunner

God I feel old now.

The cap isn't an issue. Levi Brown is their left tackle who is going to make 18 million next year cap hit unless his contract is restructed. The most he should be making is like 7 million, thats 11 million there, also Kevin Kolb going to be cut so 8 million there. Thats 19 million already.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say this post was intended for another thread.

I love how most cartoons intro's had WAY better animation then the series themselves.
Makes sense, I suppose, since it's 60 or 90 seconds that'll be played over and over and over again. May as well make it good.

That also reminds me... anyone else ever watch The Legend of Prince Valiant? The first episode was way better-drawn than most of the later episodes, it went downhill pretty fast. They even started making some really hilarious animation mistakes. Once there was a kid hiding amidst some boxes in the back of a cart, but for some reason the animators forgot to color in the boxes, and left them transparent. So this kid pops up from the back of the cart, and you see the top of his body... meanwhile, the boxes his body is supposed to be behind are still transparent, and showing green forest going by in the background. My brother and I always joked that the boxes had advanced cloaking technology... which kinda made sense, since John de Lancie and Wil Wheaton both had guest voice appearances...

Johnny Quest
Dungeons and Dragons
GI Joe
G-Force
Voltron
Scooby-Doo
Thundercats
Thundaar The Barbarian
He-Man

and a giant bowl of cereal.
