I said A-. Given who was available, the Jazz made good picks. Two young, high upside guys.

Also, why do the Jazz need to trade now? Can't they wait and see what they have before doing something drastic? Does anyone think the Jazz, even with a trade, are going to contend for an NBA championship this coming season?

I think KOC drafted as well as possible...BUT, the Spurs traded George Hill for the 15th pick. Man if we could have got George Hill and Kanter, that would have been an awesome draft day.

Forgot about this. Kanter/Hill is better to my mind than Kanter/Burks, but I'm trying to believe that KOC thinks Burks has big upside. My fear is KOC drafted BPA Shooting Guard.

Interesting. More "A"'s than other combined so far. Seems that this is the happiest Jazz fans have been about a draft since Deron was brought in at least.

The jury is still out on how good these players will be, but they were the right picks for where the Jazz were in the draft. I thought we could have made a trade and a bigger splash, but oh well. A-

Kanter is a total unknown. That pick is a huge risk. Has legit size which is a positive. Burks I believe is a steal at 12. His offensive game is really good. His ability to go to the foul line is a huge positive. His 3 point % is poor, but has good shooting mechanics and I expect his 3 point shooting to get better as his career moves forward.

A

I think Kanter is going to be a stud. Burks is going to be solid in an eight man rotation. I was worried we would pass up on Enes's potential.

I don't understand how people can bash the Kanter pick. Who would you have taken instead of Kanter? Knight was overrated and dropped where he should have gone. I can see that there is concern with Kanter's inexperience but in this draft he was obviously the best player at 3. The Jazz actually had him number #2. You have the right to complain but at least give another option of who the Jazz should have picked instead of Kanter. I can see people being upset if they wanted DW but he wasn't available. I can see why people would be upset with Burks because Leonard was there but I am dumb-founded about not liking the Kanter pick because he was the BPA.

B is my grade. Was hoping we could use our assets to get D'Will2, who I think is going to be special.

Kanter is no defensive center in my mind, and I worry about his being able to finish around the basket with his leaping ability. He better be able to clear space with his big body, or he will get stuffed a lot. He does have some good moves.

I would rather we would have taken Valanciunas at 3, and swung for the home run. I think he will become an all-star center.

Burks was a good pick. I love that Burks and Hayward can both penetrate and dish. Burks has amazing body control in the air to get his shot off. I look for him to become a solid starter. Would have been an A+ with Valanciunas.

Valanciunas needs to add some muscle. Otherwise, he is never going to be a good center in the NBA. Givony and Ford commented on how he would get bullied around by bigger players in games. Does he have a lot of upside? Sure. But there are a lot of question marks with him just like with Kanter.

Your right. That is why I said would become, because he sure isn't all-star quality now.

Our hand was forced to take Kanter, there was so much hype behind the kid that we either had to trade the pick or settle with him.

Guys I would have traded down for - Biyombo(defense people) and Knight(still like the potential with this kid)

I also would have traded up for D.Williams
