What's new

Raul Neto : new spectacular talent

Looks like a good 3rd PG prospect to me. He has a nice shot, sets up his teammates nicely, has a array of shots.

I say bring him and Tinsley in to back up Burke. Do not sign some waste of space to eat up Burke's minutes.

Neto play style looks a lot like Jose Calderon with a little better ability to finish around the hoop. Not a single defensive highlight to be seen.

There seems to be a bit of Tony Parker in him, the way he dribble into the paint and dish it out or try to finish. But at the same time he also has a solid jumpshot.

He seems fearless which to me is what I look for in a PG.

I love this pick. Kid has really good court vision and his jump shot looks fine. I hope he comes over so we can see him against NBA type competition. His resume looks good and I am sure he will be a fan favorite with the ladies. His style reminded me a little of Wolters. The other thing I liked in the videos was his ability to run the pick and roll and his ability to go left.

The pick might be good in 2015 because the Nets are built for a two year run but it is only a second. I just give Lindsey an A++ for being so creative and being smart enough to convince the organization to buy back into the draft. I did think it was funny when Atlanta took another PG so I was not totally surprised the kid was trade. I was just surprised it was to the Jazz.

I'm floored... wake up this morning and find out that the Jazz made yet another draft trade. (!) Wow.

This is the most aggressive I've ever seen this franchise. I like it. Now is the time to find young players and improve. Good job Lindsey.

It's hard to criticize after last night, but I think I would rather have had Murphy. Jazz get the benefit of the doubt though.

Locke says Neto will be at the press conference and will play with the team in Orlando. Depending on how that goes he most likely will be on the team next season.

So if we have 3 rookies on rookie pay-scales, we have what, 3 more roster spots available and we have to spend at least 20 million dollars between those 3 spots?

I thought we were 20 million (or something like that) away from the salary floor?
No such thing as a salary floor. If we don't spend it we distribute what we don't spend amoung players on the roster or something like that. But we don't have to spend anything beyond getting to 13 players.

ONe of the other threads on here had the details earlier today. I don't remember which one. But it was a twin towers post.

I don't think you collect the LT from other teams either.

.
Maybe you don't get the LT money, I don't know, but you don't have to spend it. Spending that money, for this team, this year does not seem smart right now. If they do, they eliminate the chance of adding future picks via picking up players teams need to unload to save their own LT money. You have to the end of the season to spend it anyway. So picking up players at the deadline could potentially fill both requirements.

The LT payment thing is no small detail. I think the Jazz have calculated that into thier books as income. Missing it would be significant.

Luckily they would have until next spring to get there.

Jazz could just accept Kobe Bryant and a draft pick from LAL. Or Olynk, Wallace, and Lee from Boston. Lots of possibilities.

That's because there's no music. Try this one on.

Do we need to sticky this info??? How many times has this been posted over the past month??

Amin Elhassan (@AminESPN): By the way, Jazz fans, allow me to blow your mind: get ready to like Neto more than Burke. Go ahead and favorite this.
