Neto will never be better than Burke

Just to play devil's advocate... If Stockton had been drafted in Neto's place, we'd think the same, that Burke was better then Stockton.

A couple SL games isn't enough for me to know how Neto plays, but I'm going to assume he's more of a pass first pg. if he can play at a faster pace (I do believe Ty does try, and wants the team to play a more up tempo paced game) and make the team better... I'll take that over Trey going around a pick and pull up from 20ft with 10-15 seconds on the shot clock. Trey may have more upsid, but if player B fits the team better then player A, player B is better fore the team.

Disclaimer: because I know there are a ton of dumbasses out there, I'm not saying Burke is better then Stockton, or that Neto is better then Burke, just that we simply don't know. But to say Neto will never be better is kinda dumb, because you simply don't know.

I think Burke ****ting his pants in the Summer League has led to serious over-hype on Neto. Neto was OK in the Summer League. Lots of guys are OK in the Summer League - most of them are not in the NBA.
Neto was not that good in the summer league. He had many of the same problems Burke did. I fear we got two back-up PG's in the last draft but still need a starter. But we'll see. Everyone keeps assuring me Trey will make a magical leap in his 2nd year (and somehow get taller and quicker?).

Trey plays horribleble dfense. He doesn't shoot ft's like ever. He should be able to improve both(with the right guidance). Mostly happy with TB but I do think Neto is intriguing. That crossover in summer league, pretty.

I don't know if we have seen the real Trey Burke. Look at Burke's FT #'s last year (2013) vs this year (2014). Big difference. I think Trey realizes what this year is, and isn't putting forth 100% effort. Why drive into the paint, get fouled, banged up, when you can pull up from 10-15 ft and still lose?

Before any judgements are made, we need a floor leader, and a coach with a plan. We are on the verge of becoming the Clippers of old, dominating the top of the lottery. We need to make the right pick this summer, and bring in a coach that isn't learning. He needs to know what he is doing, have confidence, and have that spread to the team.

We don't need a re-tread, or a veteran coach, just someone who has a plan.

I really, really like Sean Miller.
