Realistic Burke value

Root for the Pacers to lose like crazy and go after George Hill. That or maybe scour the d-league for a guy who hustles defensively and knows what he's doing out there and has some shot and ability to run a team. There has to be someone like that in the d-league.

It's possible the Pacers are crap. George Hill would require giving up a few first round picks in addition to Burke.

I'd take the dog.

TB has no NBA value, can we trade him to Europe or China? What would we get in return? A croissant? Bowl of rice?

I always have to chuckle when folks talk about the trade value of a player that they think stinks. If you think he stinks, don't you think the GM's do to?

Yes that's the problem. Looking for a creative way out.

At this point it looks like it is either a 3 team trade to make salaries work, a salary dump, or a moldy half eaten pickle.

I'd venture to say the Jazz could get Calderon for Burke straight up from the Knicks. Works in the trade finder. Calderon is owed 7.8 mil in '16/'17 though.

Calderon is garbage. Please take him. I wish my Knicks would pick up a certain PG, you might have heard of him before...

Pacers are 0-2. Time to blow that ish up

Talking about Ish ... how many people saw Ish Smith playing for the Pelicans against Curry. The guy is super quick and to be honest, the way he played better than any of our point guards, and the Pelicans just picked him up on waivers shortly before the game. We missed that one.

Nailed it. Perfect destination for that scrub.

This, my friends, is the definition of a troll because what you are saying is that the Knicks are a worse spot than the Jazz. First off, both teams flat out suck. You'll probably deny as a homer and fan, but the Jazz have been irrelevant for so long. The difference: Whoever plays for the Knicks, gets instant exposure playing in the spotlight in the arguably most prolific sports town in the world (ie. Jeremy Lin, who is a average at best PG). Utah... not so much.

Also, talk about me being the "sour" one - that was just a harmless post. Siro, I know you are a "Premium Subscriber" (which I am assuming means you pay for the same services I get, you just get a nice title under your name)but get off your high horse bud.

To get back to the point though, Calderon is actual trash and would be a step down from neto who atleast plays solid defense.

It is truly so very sad to see the lack of appreciation and disrespect directed to Burke. No matter what the haters say he is the most offensively gifted point guard we have on our team. He may just be in the wrong offensive system and team but that's no need to knock him as bad as you guys are doing.

One thing that bugs me about Trey is when he brings the ball up the court there is always a delay in getting the ball off to a teammate. I realize he is assessing the defense but he is so slow to get things going the defense has time to get good positioning.

I think you hit the nail on the head talking about system fit. Burke isn't a guy you play off ball and expect huge production. He's a ball dominant guard. Which has it's advantages and disadvantages. He needs floor spacing and/or high flying finisher to be at his maximum effectiveness similar to what he had at Michigan. His assist rate was promising his rookie year because he had Williams and Jefferson to space the court and Evans to finish.

worth exploring, if only for the Rudy connection. I can see Evan helping our bench.
would you be willing to part with anything else to get him? If so, what?

EDIT: nvm
They have Napier, CJ Watson, and Payton... not really sure why they'd want Burke unless they just knew they weren't going to commit to Evan on his next deal.
