Probably only partly true. Ryan's the reason we're in a situation that we had to immediately (early?) rebrand (again).I'm sure its a Nike thing not a Ryan thing.

according ot Larsen the same company that did these jerseys is doing the hockey teamRyan Smith is weird with this branding ****.
Definitely don't expect Utah HC to be a smooth seamless thing.
Nike just approves them I believe and dictates what color scheme you're allowed to use. They dont design them.Probably only partly true. Ryan's the reason we're in a situation that we had to immediately (early?) rebrand (again).
Obviously these things are always a matter of taste. For me, I like the black best.View attachment 16463

I do like the white uniforms. The black is boring, but black always looks at least OK (just despise how slapped on the note looks). I just dont understand the need for the two purples when they are nearly identical. I guess one of them is temporary design that will be replaced by another unnecessary design every 2 years?
I’ll go to my grave insisting that the J-Note is one of the all-time coolest logos across the sporting landscape and could write a 50 page thesis on how the organization has botched that since the beginning of the D-Will era uni’s.The note and mountain together is ****ing preposterous and why I dislike the black ones. Just make the black ones more music/jazz based. It would be kind of sick to Jazz classic uniform w/ "J' note in a black rendition, not this BS.
Totally agree with this, along with the yellow, green and purple colorways. I was never a fan of the initial "purple" mountains [they're not really purple btw...] and loved it when we went to the note and original colors...I'll also add that I really really don't like moving away from the note and having the mountain logo on everything. The note is better than the mountains, we should know that by now.
I disagree. I think it was totally a Ryan thing to go with the ugly uni's.Unless he didn't have final say on those highlighter jerseys all my vitriol will go towards him.
Is this pic real? Lauri looks huge in it.View attachment 16463

If that is the standard I agree. The bar could not have been lowerI like em... I mean the bar was super low after the last round but I have a saying in my house "try not to suck" and we didn't suck. hooray.

With that being said, these uni’s are an upgrade. It’s evident that the mountain branding is here to stay and I will admit that I think the white uni’s are the best thing they’ve done in awhile. The addition of baby blue on the trim really pops and I’d give those uni’s a “B” grade which should be seen as a massive win for Ryan Smith’s early track record with Jazz uni’s.
Sadly, they massively ****ed up what could have been a home run with the black uni’s. Like you said, just embrace the J-Note awesomeness and give us 1 cool uni that’s all about the J-Note and leave the mountains alone. Giving us a new black mountain uni and slapping the J-Note over it looks like someone was editing in photoshop, never got back to a half finished idea, and decided “screw it, we’re outta time.”
JAZZZZ"Utah" is just such an ugly looking word vs "Jazz" which looks cool af.
The note and the mountains looks weird to me. If they did a black jersey with the note I guarantee it would be a huge hit.The new black uni concept hits pretty hard.
